Another seal broken?
Weren`t Devs saying that ARE NOT going to put such creatures into the game because they are not humans? What could this mean to lore? Entity's reach grows wider and it becomes stronger? It started to invade Trials and now It has the power to drag nonhuman creatures into It's world..
Even more is to come . . .

They never said that the Entity can take only humans, look at Maurice for example, he's a horse
Also devs said that the killer must be humanoid in shape to be in the game, so not a dog or spider killer
The Demogorgon is fairly humanoid

As was already stated, that is NOT what the devs said. It wast about what the entity could or couldnt take, it was about non humanoid killers being a ton of extra work. Demogorgon is still humanoid.

Alien is too OP imo. I would rather encounter Demigorgon than that horrible creature. From films Aliens seem to be extremely fast when they were actually chasing their victim, not to mention the ability to freely move on walls and ceilings. Their claws, tail and teeth do horrible damage (other killers' weapons are nothing compared to Alien's claws, which are able to SHRED STEEL). Not to mention he doesn't have eyes and thus is invulnerable to flashlights. Devs would have to nerf him to the ground so survivors would stand a chance

It's because it doesn't fit in the maps and other killers wouldn't fit on the Nostromo

Yet someone like Leatherface or an ancient Babylonian priestess fit on a map like Lery's or the Gideon plant? With like static monitors and stuff? I'm positive we'll see the Nostromo one day.

They also said they weren't ever going to do a clown killer... then sure enough... The Clown.

They did also mention once early on that they wanted killers to be human for the personal aspect of being chased by a member of your own species but it probably changed with development like how they changed their mind on the clown.
I'm pretty excited for this and hope it comes with really good lore

Can I just pipe in here and drop that a Xenomorph fits into the dbd lore perfectly in a lot of ways. It took me a lot of discussion to convince people and the only counter argument was that it doesn't fit the game.
Anything is possible if it's something which has a certain demand.

Can we get Maurice as a killer? He could be humanoid enough if he stands on his hind legs, and he could travel on a beach ball while chanting his name in the language of the Entity which can be heard from 40 or so meters.

Yeah i was saying before an alien can be controlled it obeys the queen and brings her nice humans to grow her children. All the entity has to do is have or admit the same pheromones as the Queen and the alien would obey.
Also a remimder alien resurrection had an alien that was born from clone riply and the queen it was more human also with eyes and a weird nose.. Never forget that nose.
People argue about the map how about LV4?
Alien is the most perfect killing machine.. The entity would want it for sure.

When it comes to humanoid I got a response from peanits in a discussion about the Xenomorph. He said something along the lines that humanoid means in design and animation. If it's got 2 arms, legs and a head then it is possible.
I would say Alien™ is probably the queen of classic horror so there's an obvious demand for it.

I'd hate to hijack this whole thread with all this Alien™ talk but it's entirely possible.
The Xenomorph is from space not an entirely different dimension. It's simple lorewise but it can tie in with dbd lore with the entity being queen-like and the alien being a creation of it.
Toss in the Michael fastbender Android and you got a massive amount of options to go with it.
So many instalments of Alien ™ so I would imagine you can just pick and choose one and do what you like with it.
Whether you want Elizabeth Shaw from Prometheus or Ripley herself from the earlier ones then there's always alternatives if it does get complicated.

I think it was mainly because it is easier to use existing skeletons and animations (slightly altered of course) rather than creating new skeletons for each killer. The demogorgon seems to have a new skeleton though as it's legs seem to have 2 joints.
I do wonder if the demogorgon is mainly going to be walking on all 4s or if it'll walk on 2 legs.

I would actually enjoy seeing alien getting ghostface treatment - using his overall image and adding more links to the entity like burning scars or less human-like body.
