A Reminder to Everyone Purchasing the DLC When it Drops
Be prepared/expect changes to happen to the powers and abilities of the Killer AND the perks of the Survivors.
We have seen this happen with Freddy and the Ash DLC.
I will personally wait about 2 weeks before investing anymore interest into these DLC’s. So please just a fair warning if you plan on making a post about changes to the DLC later on.

Also buy it from the actual store not the in-game store if you want the exclusive bundle cosmetic.

Very excited for Steve Harrington. Frankly the rest of the dlc could be nerfed to oblivion and I'd still be content with it.

yeah i avoided ghostface and il be avoiding this completely as well. can no longer justify the prices for stuff that gets nerfed into the ground or oblivion etc

Slightly misleading actually, in both cases, people were already becoming aware that things were out of whack. Freddy was very clearly anti fun in almost every way, and suffered from poor design, and mettle of man was unreasonably strong. Both were obvious cases for changes, so just use your judgement when purchasing. If something seems too good to be true? well, give it a bit, and see what changes seem to trend.

ghostface wasnt nerfed into the ground, he recieved some bugfixes for stuff that wasnt working right, 1 very minor nerf, one of his addon types got slightly nerfed, and a few others got buffed.

Most people buy the DLCs for the characters themselves anyway, not the perks/power alone

You forgot the 2 years it took too nerf DS and how long the timeframes for the Freddy rework was. The only perk which was honestly nerfed quickly needed the nerf. Legion was nerfed because of exploits and how unfun he was. Though I feel they took it too far.

well tbh i expect the survivor perks to be strong , at least 2 of them.
Seeing as how this is a hugely requested chapter and IF they do the 6 perks then at least that makes the survivor meta a bit less stale.
But sorry, gonna buy it day 1 .. especialy if there's Scoops Ahoy Steve

I'm waiting until we get a good look at the Survivor perks before I get the bundle, don't want to waste my money on crap. I'll probably get Nancy though anyway, she's really cute.

It strikes me as odd that buying it somewhere else gets you more stuff than their own store.
Why can't the game just go like: "Oh, i see you now own that & that character, here's some bonuses!"

Has zero to do with post-launch changes, but this will be the second DLC I skip buying. I've no fandom for Stranger Things same as I was never a fan of Ghostface.

@ItsYourBoyGuzma I mean they could add it as a cosmetic but it appears Steve and Nancy are both from season 1. I still don't understand how lore will accommodate for this. Hopper would have made more sense.

Same thing could be said about Laurie and Michael just think of the entity's realm as the quantum realm , years here can be seconds in our universe . (example)

@ItsYourBoyGuzma Not really the same, as Michael and Laurie don't do much outside of movies. Steve and Nancy however are still very much active in their realm, and their outfits are based on Season 1 from what it looks like. You could use the years there could be seconds in their universe idea, but that would imply they escaped. Not sure how two kids would escape a realm like this while like 16 adults haven't.

Not going to purchase the dlc at all so no worries.
either all survivor perks are trash garbage that you will never use like 99% of perks released since laurie.
or they will let 1 or 2 usable perks (1 per surv?) stay long enough for enough ppl to buy the dlc and then they nerf it.

I have a slightly major case of OCD. I need to complete everything. It's why I'm spending as much time as I am leveling EVERYONE up. Survivors and Killers. I got Ghost Face on the day he released and I still haven't touched him because of it as well (also so I can level him up in essentially one go, without shifting back and forth between other characters).
I'll be honest. I don't care for TV shows in general, and as such don't watch Netflix. I know nothing about Stranger Things, and likely never will, but I'll still get this DLC as soon as I can because my mind doesn't work otherwise. They can change the halloween reje-I mean Demogorgon, as much as they want. I need to complete things.

I think it's because of the way the in app purchases system works the game dosent detect you purchasing the dlc. Meanwhile if you buy it through the store it preforms a check on which dlcs you have bought when you log into to the game.

Yeah okay, but they could create a new, separate system in-game that grants users the same result.
It wouldn't need to check DLCs, just check characters.

Buying ANYTHING on release without waiting a week or so is a bad practice overall when it comes to video games and video games related stuff. At least in the current era of gaming industry.

Where would you buy the dlc at the out of game store, if you don't mind me asking? Had a look at their website but couldn't see anything. Does it work for all systems (as I'm on PS4)? Sorry I really have no idea 😅

But then again, Decisive Strike remained the way it was for 2 years so it isn't ridiculous to think that stuff wouldn't get changed as fast as Freddy and MoM did.

If you buy the characters with auric cells and not the chapter with real money, you won't receive the exclusive cosmetics that come with the chapter.

I got Ash for Ash, not for his perks.
And I will get the Stranger Things DLC because it's Stranger Things. I don't care what the perks or powers are
