Now I understand why Killer Lobbies take so long.

Survivor solo play is pretty much impossible to enjoy nowadays. I don't what it is, but survivors in low ranks are pretty stupid. Doesn't help that every month when I manage to get to red ranks, I go back down thanks to rank reset. No wonder so many people stopped playing this game.

Solo isn’t as bad at red ranks when survivors generally know what they’re doing. Solo on low ranks however...... pure hell.

You forget that there are two sides to this story, the killer might not find being looped fun. It isn’t either sides job to care about each other’s fun.

Today a miracle happened. Around 7:30pm ish my killer lobby times were shorter than my survivor lobby times and it felt great.

Yes it is, but only in the pursuit of fairness. When you play Hide 'N Seek with your friends, you play by the rules so everyone has a good time, even if your buddy is much better than you. You wouldn't want to be cheated against (loosely defined, I know).

It's the same in a game like this, to a small extent. When you understand how the other side plays and have experienced the same behavior, there are things you won't do because you hate when they do it.

As for looping, that's a mixed issue. I don't believe the game was designed for it, and they might have said so a long long time ago, but it is an effective method that seems to be within the confines of the rules and, again, what are they supposed to do? Running in a straight line is asking for a blade to the back. The Killer moves faster than the Survivors. I think it falls under the topic of things that cannot be enforced, therefore the counter is to mind-game them, build Bloodlust, break the pallet, or simply find a new target.

You forget that this is an online game, you likely don’t know the people you’re facing. Of course you’re less likely to ‘cheat’ when playing up against your friends but when you don’t know anything about the people you’re facing, you won’t care.

That's true; based on their behavior they might be a complete jerk. They might be a stranger. But you have to remember that not only is another person playing against you, but a fellow gamer. It doesn't matter what side you're on, we're all in this together. We have to be better to each other.

But this game is also perceived as competitive to a lot of people so in their minds anything goes.

In other words, we have to accept that a significant proportion of people are jerks who don't care about sportsmanship unless there are consequences involved. Which is true, but the fact that it's understandable doesn't mean that it's excusable or shouldn't be called out.

Some people find having their groin crushed by high heeled feet enjoyable too - just saying.

I actually played solo Survivor for the first time in 6-7 months recently.

Was good to shake things up again.

I get that. My point is that people over dramatize how bad solo is.

Sure, you’ll get that really bad potato squad every now and then but you can just que up again.

I will face camp those i see as abusing loops. Because it really really pisses me off, there is such a thing as abusing a BS mechanic and many many survivors do it. I figure they're asking for it.

That's a short sighted approach to the game. It absolutely is everyone's job to keep the game fun for everyone. You know why? Because when you don't killer lobbies take forever.

If the game isn't fun for one side, people quit. Doesn't matter whether it's survivor or killer. Imbalance in the game hurts everyone.

Killers might be in cloud nine thinking all the buffs they got are awesome and will make massacring those idiot survivors is even easier now, but the joke's on you when the killer queue takes 10 minutes before you get a game.

I'll admit that back in 2016 Survivor was far too powerful for Killer. But somewhere between then and today they crossed a line and killers now are more powerful than survivors -- especially in the low ranks. That's going to lead to a lot of unhappy survivors who are just going to stop playing survivor.

    End result?

Yeah killer queuing has been a joke for almost a year now.

My killer ques are instant and my survivor ques take awhile. When you play survivor, do you consider the killers fun? You probably don’t. It is also 100% impossible to make the game fun for everyone.

Btw whenever I play killer I rarely camp/tunnel but yet whenever I’m chasing another survivor across the map I’m still a camper/tunneler. A lot of people only have fun by winning, why am I going to purposely let everyone live because it is the only way they’ll have fun?

I consider the other side's fun no matter which I'm on. I know both sides. I know all the dirty tricks anyone can do, and a lot of them are really scummy (teammates blocking you into a corner, for instance). I give everyone a fair chance even on survivor. If I can tell the killer tried, but didn't catch anyone, I'll die to the endgame. We all deserve points, because we all know how the grind can be.

The point is each side is responsible for holding up the game properly. The killers have to chase, and the survivors have to survive. It isn't fun if the survivor just stands there pointing at a hook, is it? You want to catch them in a chase. To outsmart them, or outmaneuver them. The same with the survivor. If the killer stands there spinning in place, what's the fun? What's the point? You won't even get much BP at the end. People are encouraged to play to their objectives so everyone has an exciting experience.

Abusing other people is not fun. We've been saying this forever, if you drive away too many people by bad behavior the game will fail. I don't want that, and I'm pretty sure a lot of you don't want it either. I know there are rough patches were you have a few bad games and get angry/vengeful on whatever irked you, but treating each other with sportsmanship is the way to play this and any game. Next round, that guy might just be on your team.
