Hi! I’ve been playing this game for a couple of months so idk how much weight that holds compared to everyone else but from an unbiased obsersavation I believe that these implementations could help tremendously with balance.

1.   When in the ready lobby survivors would select one of three catagories before proceeding. To select an item, or ready up
A) altruist-allowed to bring in flashlight only items
B) mechanic- allowed to bring in toolbox
c) assistant -can bring  in med kit, map, or key.

there is only 1 mechanic and 1 altruist allowed in the lobby. The other two spots are for assistants.

If you did not select before the timer ends(add an additional minute) you will be placed in one of the unchoosen catagoriea available.

While in game you can only use the item pertained to your catagory for that match.

What do you guys think?

That’s all well and good until ######### nobody chooses assitant ever.

They will if they want to play the game and swf. It’s just how the cookie crumbles. I like to bring medkits Bc sometimes it’s hella faster than sc or when, I don’t feel like running it.

If they don’t have the item they can search chests to get one in game. Or select one of the other options.

The thing with selecting your playstyle for the match is that if someone else searches the chest and they selected altruist if they find a flashlight they can take it, but if it’s a toolbox then they can’t grab it that round. So if the person running mechanic goes to the box later the item will be there. If they don’t then oh well. It’s just to balance the over use of game throwing items in a single match as to not bully the killer. Level the playing field a bit.

Maybe but the two assistants could carry medkits.its to prevent a specific item from over use. Ie everyone with insta heals; toolboxes with addons, and a lobby full of flashlights. And to make sure that it’s carried out throughout the match that’s why you can only grab the item in your catagory from a chest. Bc from what I grasp these items break the game when equipped in quantity. I think it will go swimmingly with the new plunders buff.  Also thank you. The devs of course could tweak the idea.
