While not condoned; we must realize such underhanded tactics will always exist in every competitive game, so ty to all that are making the effort to place fun above toxicity.

If you want better wait times, help make the new players have fun and feel welcomed.

    Maybe they'll stay :)

Kindness is free, yet people seem to use it sparingly for some reason. Let's sprinkle that ######### everywhere! <3

Noone tells me what to do ;-)

I won't discriminate survivors, they will all fall under my blade.... if I can catch them.

I admire your attitude but asking for no toxicity in this game is liking asking fish not to swim.

I respect what you are trying to do but it's not going to change people's mindsets there are people who dont want to see the game grow and if being toxic is the way to do it they will.

Can't wait to see all those new epic looping/fragging videos from survivor and killer youtubers that very, very, conveniently end the video before the rank(s) of the other team is revealed

Ask yourself this. When you were starting out, did you want to be smacked down by experienced players with hundreds if not thousands of hours to your 2?

You should start a video series dedicated to the new players when the next chapter drops called "welcome to my world (bad word)".

What would actually be nice is if the Devs actually did something to help it by adjusting how the Rank Reset works for september. They got a month to figure out something.... which could just be a simple...

If you are going to be reset below rank 15 then your minimum rank you can get reset to is 15.

Or just skip it all together that month.

As long as people play normally and not too many people go out of their way to screw with the newbies via deranking and the like it should be fine. DBD can be a rough game to start with, especially if you're unlucky early on, but the people that enjoy the concept of the game will surely try to learn from their mistakes, research guides and so on.

I very much encourage people to give simple tips if possible though, but that goes for any time matchmaking gets drunk and puts an obviously very new player in a match. Doesn't have to be a dissertation on effective pallet use, but simple things like "be more careful with when you use lockers" or "don't be so scared of getting stunned that you run around the same pallet the entire game".

I haven't played killern six weeks, I am back at rank 17.

I will make sure to burn lots of my 100 gateaux on my Spirit so new players can get lots of blood points.

Then, unless they act toxic, I will double hook them and then let them leave so we can all score 20k *2 BP.

Just to help new people with the insane grind :)

You know which community you're asking, right? Its like asking fish to stop swimming in the ocean, ain't gonna happen.

All the newbies gonna get obliterated by Ochido wannabes, smurfs and other toxic filth, then quickly leave and give DbD an even worse reputation than they already got.

Maybe it'll FINALLY get the developers off their arse and start fighting the toxicity.

yeah we're looking forward to have even more children in this game. you know they are the most toxic right? childish/toxic behaviour like teabagging and flashlightabuse and trashtalk are typical childish things to do

Those who are toxic don't need that reminder. They dont care and they will continue. Especially against new players they will try the best to enjoy bullying them

except that its actually largely 30somethings exhibiting the truly vile behavior.

We cant sugarcoat the harsh truth forever.

The earlier they learn the real game, the better.

well there are'nt that many 30+ players in this game so even if they are it's still a minority

Making this post was pointless. People who want to be toxic will be toxic regardless of the circumstances. Sad that it is that way.

I just had a wonderful match as a huntress against one toxic survivor .. you know your typical flashligh clicker to get on your nerves. I had one hit hatches and a mori ready. When all gens were done i saw him running (bitter murmer) and i hit him insta down from afar! amazing feeling i can tell you.

  • Rydog
    Rydog Member Posts: 3,275

What you're describing is not being toxic, it's playing the game as intended.

  • RoKrueger
    RoKrueger Member Posts: 1,371

Did I mention I will tunnel and camp whenever I please? And I will hit hooked survivors just so they know who is the boss

  • SpaceCoconut
    SpaceCoconut Member Posts: 1,962

    This is a cute thread.

I bet you're always playing fair and letting the killer hook you instead of escaping after the gens get finished very quickly...

    Keep your rules to yourself.
