Memento Mori rework idea
Memento Mori's will no longer kill survivors by your hand
New challenges for killing 1 survivor by your hand are introduced
Each challenge is incredibly hard
Trapper for example will have to trap any survivor with 3 different bear traps and hook those who were trapped for the challenge to be completed
Memento Mori's will instead make challenges easier and/or increase the amount of survivors able to be killed by your hand
Cypress Mori- The bolded category is decreased by 1
Ivory Mori- Total amount of survivors kill-able by your hand is increased by 1
Ebony Mori- The bolded Category is decreased by 1 and total amount of survivors kill-able is increased by 1. Chase Category gains 50% more BP

That Trapper idea is terrible, no offense. Have to trap someone 3 times? In 3 DIFFERENT traps? Plus hooking them? And all that to kill ONE person in the match?
If you don't like Mori's; fine. But don't suggest clear nerfs under the guise of balance.

@Locker_Monster Actually, its once with 3 different traps, but its just a demo idea because of the fact mori's reward you currently for hooking a survivor once, why not give out a challenge instead?
Also Mori's boost the amount of kills and/or the bolded number is reduced

You didn't really read it huh. The idea is that the kill challenges are a base mechanic while Moris then alter that mechanic.

Thank you, I might change it however and add more killers

I said the same thing a different way. It's 3 times, in a different trap each time.
And the point of Mori's is not for a challenge or some overly complicated way to do something. This would be so conviluted, there would be no point in doing it; Killers would urn a Mori and be more likely to just kill someone on the hook.
Imagine trying to get ONE person to step in THREE different traps. I play Trapper allot and I barely get more than 4-5 trappings spread out across the group.
Edit: And imagine if someone sabo'd a trap someone else stepped in; no more chance to mori!
Mori's are fine. They're meant to scare the Survivors by ending their lives quicker.

Oh #########, my mistake, I will edit it to make more sense
It works on any survivor, just trap any of the 4 survivors with 3 different traps

I typically agree with you on most things but not on this one. Once again, this would be a BASE MECHANIC made easier by Moris, as opposed to just using the offering for an easy and extensively unfair game.
And no, Moris are not for scaring survivors. They end games fast and are nothing but frustrating to go against. The ability to outright kill someone should not be so easy.

I think adding challenges to being able to kill someone is actually very unique and fun, but this would also require the polar opposite of moris to be reworked: Keys.
Besides that, I totally think this would be an awesome idea, man! 💜

Thanks Chaotic, just cause of that, I will think of Legions first to add to the list

So for 100% clarification, Trapper---catch 3 people in Bear traps or catch 1 poor individual 3 times, hook any of those people and the condition will be met to Mori those people that were hooked and got caught in a trap?
The Mori offering will increase how many of those people can be Morid? So I am assuming at base 1 of those people who got caught and hooked could be killed unless you had an offering increasing to another of those caught Survivors.
If that is the case I like where this is going.
A lot of people say Mori them on last hook but this adds DEPTH to the game and to the match. Right now you pop a Mori and whoever is hooked is like ''FU*K!'' With your idea it would be a progressive power in the match similar to Devour Hope, which is my favorite Killer perk. Once you trap 3 people everyone knows at that moment ''aw crap he's about to kill one of those fools, he's primed and ready''. The Killer is ready to Mori, NOT the Survivor, because right now the Moris are dependant on hooks making the Survivor prepared when it is you the Killer who should be preparing for yourself.
Now I know you're thinking about other challenges for other Killers but that is already solved as each Killer has their own Daily that is tied to their ability and your Trapper idea is exactly what his Daily is, trap 3 people. So each Daily for each Killer revolves around their ability and those Dailies could be what activates their Mori.
