Survivor abilities
I play a lot of DBD and I watch a lot of other players, but I can't help noticing that we all kinda run the same perks etc. But we are playing as different survivors. Does anyone else not think it would make sense if the survivors had an individual ability? I'm not talking perks I am talking an ability. Killers are all different, but you can apply similar perks. So some people choose Ghostface because of his stalking, some play nurse because she can go through walls. Tell me what's the difference between the survivors nothing but clothes and their names really. I say give them a lil something different and the killers will have to work that lol bit harder. For instance Claudette could heal ever so slightly if she just stands still. Laurie could have a bigger target to hit for D strike. Ash could leave his hand on the generator and slowly fix it as he roams the level. I just think a little individuality between survivors would shake things up and provide greater spread of use of characters.

I agree with the premise but I've heard people argue that "this would create a survivor meta and everyone would use the survivors that could heal or do gens or run faster".
To which I would reply, I don't think it would happen because I'm using Feng regardless OR so what? Killers have a meta and tier list. Why would it be a problem if there were meta survivors and survivors tiers?

Because people would expect others to play that character (talking about high ranks) and would be dodging games (if they play to win)

The problem is is that you have to make the ability so small that it makes no sense for it be in the game, or big enough that it does something. ( Ex: Ace is mainly based on luck, but 1-5% is trash but 6+ could be broken ).
Also just because your not gonna use other characters based on their "ability" doesn't mean others will too.

This is bad idea.
We already have tier lists for killers and only 4 of them are considered viable, because of their abilities. Same would be with survivors, most likely only few of them would be played, because of their viability and rest would be meh or bad.
BHVR now can't bring 16 killers to the same level so all can be viable on higher ranks, now think about balancing 20+ survivors…

I like this, it would be cool if all survivors had unique abilities, and further more, no clones/multiples of survivor's. Each survivor should have an independent role, and only one can be played in a game.

Your first counterargument is anecdotal. I would use whoever gave me the most clear gameplay advantage.
As to your second counterargument: I'd rather not be hamstrung on the survivor side in the same way that I currently am on the killer side. You have to climb a mountain every time you want to unlock a full perk set on another killer. It's a relief that I only ever need to focus on one survivor's perk inventory.

Yeah but the only problem is gonna be that everyone is gonna play as Claudette (Which i don't mind at all <3 i love her and i main her btw) and Meg.Which will give the killers even BIGGER frustration than with what they have to deal with right now.It is a cool idea and it would add more realism to the game.

It makes real life, logical sense. I can not count how many times on my hand I was walking in the park and encountered a different version of me. If only I had a dollar each time.

It's just a funny stretch to justify everyone being able to pick the same character. I don't really care about lore too much, but that made me smile.

Please no, survivor tiers would make the meta picks worse. The killer variety is already low depending on your rank and survivor play would quickly reflect this.

I would absolutely play killer more if I could play in third person as Nea. Don't worry trapper, I found the hiding Claudette.
