Iron Maiden - My balancing idea
Hi all people in the fog!
With the introduction of Inner Strength, probably being a meta candidate, a few discussions about Iron Maiden have appeared. I wanted to share an idea I've posted awhile back in my balance suggestions thread and ask what do you think should be done about this perk (thanks @Karltastisk for a suggestion to post this!)
You open Lockers 25% faster. After exiting a Locker, that Survivor's Aura is revealed to you for 5 seconds and the Survivor suffers from the Exposed status effect for 10 seconds and additional 5 seconds for each second spent in a Locker, up to a maximum of 40/50/60 seconds
The why behind this: "15 seconds straight out hardly ever lets you get an instadown, even with an Aura vision. I think that the expose duration accumulating overtime would give more benefits upon using this perk, at a cost of a bit slower Locker searching." (copied from mentioned thread)
Basically, what it'd make it so you don't get punished the same way every time you jump out of a locker. There's a big difference between hiding from BBQ for 4 seconds and activating Inner Strength for 8+ seconds. Now, quick maths on how it'd change the duration of expose:
- Situation I: you know the Killer has BBQ and you decide to sit in a locker for 5 seconds to make sure you don't get found. 10 + 5*5 = 35 seconds of expose
- Situation II: You cleansed a dull totem and you're injured so you hide in a locker to trigger Inner Strength which takes 10 seconds (assuming). 10 + 10*5 = 60 seconds; maximum duration for tier III
To sum up, this change aims to make levelling this perk up more impactful and expand its usefulness to other killers than Huntress and to some extent Doctor. What do you think about this?

In my opinion, it's not that much considering it accumulates overtime and you don't have to sit in a locker at all, denying the perk

Well GF have a 60 sec one shot and same times you can't get the hit

Theres a different as perks and powers just cuz ppl want to counter inner just like that inner strength have a weak point and thats finding a totem and wont work if you dont get a totem total of totems its 5 and 4 survivors in total so its 1 time only or 2 if youre lucky now iron maiden wont work if its 60s ill put it 30s since theres other killers that have fast mobility if you want 60s then theres only 2 ways to have it 1 make it as a cooldown of 1 minute and half or 1 time use only

It seems to be quite good if you care about secondary objective given, and Iron Maiden is not viable from the beginning. Why couldn't it see a buff?
