Killer perk idea: Visions of Power
Visions of power
- Start the trial with 1/2/3 tokens
- You are obsessed with 1 survivor
- All notifications involving your obsession are blue instead of red and your obsessions aura is blue.
- Looking straight up for 3 seconds will consume a token and reveal your obsessions location for 4 seconds.
- If your obsession changes for any reason gain 1 token
Why should this exist?
A: On it's own it's an alright tracking perk and it makes being the obsession a slightly bigger threat, but that alone isn't enough.
B: Much like with ToTH this allows for more interesting perk combo's. A lot of perks such as PWYF rely heavily on finding your obsession in order to work. This gives you the means of doing that immediately and using the perk without wasting time with other Survivors.

I like this idea a lot as I think being obsession should be a bigger threat. Especially with Dying Light. As I think Dying lights is sometimes useless by the time you get it as you couldn't find the obsession all game. But instead of looking up mabey there is an activation like clicking A on an Xbox controller. Mabey they make a new archetype of perks called activation perks and you can only use 1 at once. A little far out but you never know I guess.

While I'd love to have an easier activation method I am deliberately not having a button activation so it doesn't get in the way of a potential future power.

I think this perk would be really good with other obsession perks like Dying Light and by itself it is a good tracking perk. I also believe this perk would have really good synergy with my Play With Your Food perk rework and would promote you to higher speeds. But to come to think of it, one change I would recommend is if the Obsession were to change for whatever reason, I think all your tokens should be refreshed to their maximum amount. That way people who use Decisive Strike can be punished for stunning the killer.

Exactly!

Interesting idea. I think the perk should be disabled when carrying a survivor... Looking straight up to avoid being flashed could activate the perk involuntarily. 👍️

Infinite tokens with Furtive Chase

well technically not infinite, but the synergy is deliberate.

Probably a good idea but even then I can't imagine you'd need to do it for a full 3 seconds straight.

Idk ... I feel this would just force tunneling and the use of dying light.
