Is it ban-able to give a friend your savegame?
I and a friend are kinda afriad that we might miss out on the Summerbloodfeast and with that the new cosmetics. We are both on vacation for different weeks. So I came up with the idea that we exchange or savefiles. This way one of us could collect the new cosmetics for himself and than for the other. The question, is it ban-able? I don't have any Leagacy neither he has, besides the Howling Ground Cosmetics i have the Huntress mask he dosn't.

Of course it's bannable. Even if neither of u doesn't own legacy. You have to play for everything yourself. It's not allowed and bannable. I wouldn't recommend it

I would do it myself, but if its just impossiable for me to do it timewhise? If they tell us the event again two days befor it, i may just have two days doing all the event things. That is might possiable as survivor, cause you can beg the others for using invites. But not as killer.

Don't be too harsh for yourself, just don't do it again. Additionally "If it's questionable then it's probably wrong" however if you want my opinion, the devs said doing exploits, hacks, game breaking glitches, and etc is bannable, not sharing saves. Maybe it's bannable on steam but I don't know so I won't go any further. It's like you two have each other's account information and just logging in, I don't see any problem with that just don't give your account information to the wrong person.Scourge said:I would do it myself, but if its just impossiable for me to do it timewhise? Its 100% bannable, basically you are hacking the savefile (just like the legacy hack for example)

How am i hacking? I don‘t use third party software or manipulate the save in any way. Technically its the same like he would come to me and play the game on my computer. I just give my savefile to someone else. But i trust him actually i could give him my personal login data once he is done with his challenges. So he can gain access to my savefile over the Steam-Cloud. He is a good friend of mine for many years now.Master said:@Nickenzie said:

This was a common thing to do when the game was new - and they stomped it out hard. So yes, totally against the rules.

@Scourge I siad somewhere else I don't think they will have a summer event. I might be wrong, but I think I remember reading they got so bogged down in the DLC that they couldn't get a summer event completed. I hope I am wrong as I would love another event, but don't have my hopes up.
Anyway that said, I would take the safer route and just exchange passwords vs the save files. (Even that probably isn't 100% safe but safer in my opinion)0 -
