Is this an out of season april fools joke?
A friend just played a game on EU Region, she claims that she found a lobby within 5 seconds of waiting.
This is what she got:
If this would not be so sad, it could be taken as a joke. I dont care if the killer waited the last 10 hours to get a game, that does not matter.. it is an absolute nogo to create a lobby like this.
Pretty much the same happened to me many times recently (PC) as a Killer and a Survivor aswell. We like your game and appreciate the effort you put into it but rank differences like this are not acceptable at all.

matchmaking is very bad at the moment. there are too many killers and too few survivors which leads to longer queue times and wrong matchmaking matches. i've also seen rank 1 survivors playing against rank 10 or 15 killers

What is this thing with "rank 15" players who have tier 3 DH, DS, BT etc. unlocked?

Given they made it so you can't depip below rank 15 and a lot of people play only a handful of matches each reset (barely enough to get to like rank 9-10) they get reset back to 15 and can't go any lower. It's fairly common
There's also people who purposefully derank "for better matchmaking" aka "to bully lower ranks" (which is honestly probably a big part of the reason the rank system spazzes out so much)

Note: The first part of the above post is from personal experience. I use to be red ranks on both sides but now I don't have the willpower to play my way past green. Not worth the time

I do too. It's at its worst when it's streamers and youtubers doing it and then telling their viewers it's fine because "Rank Doesn't Matter" when in reality it's "Matchmaking doesn't work, making it seem like rank doesn't matter"

It does make killer games quite fun though, since you can play weird builds with weak killers. But on the other hand, when playing solo survivor, its terrible

Either that or You'll stay for like 10-20 minutes needlessly or more until someone with a Relatively closer Rank makes a lobby or initiate a Search .
Yes it's Terrible ! that's a huge gap unfortunately the player base is not that big and more players are leaving the game and only return when new chapters drop to try them out and then leave again .
unless Matchmaking get fixed and they merge The playerbase . Cross-play PC With console .
Otherwise try to take it as a challenge and learn to be better at the game at the end of the day you're up against a human . Not a Robot . So they can never be too good .

Can't we just make it so people can't leave certain brackets of ranks? 1-5 5-10 10-15? This way you can't de-pip your way back to easier games.

I've been getting games just like this. I just switched from PS4 to PC so I'm only a Rank 16 Killer with base perks, all I've been facing are Purple Ranks, no they're not SWF and the ones who are were weren't friends with the lower ranks in the lobby.
My lobby wait times can be 15 minutes and it is so boring and frustrating to wait and then Survivors who are higher rank than me. I can't lobby dodge because I can't see their Rank and can't see their hours to predict it either.
All the newer players who are coming with Stranger Things will complain about this and leave.
