Should the last survivor get harder escape chance the more Gen left?
Currently either 5 gen or 1 gen done. The last survivor gets the same treatment: the hatch appears -> if Killer close the hatch -> Gates powered.
The last survivor should get harder/no escape chance the more Gen left
.5 gen left: After sacrificed the 3rd survivor, the EGC will instant start without the hatch spawn. The gates is also not powered. => Which is 100% death for the last survivor.
.4 gen left: The EGC will instant start without the hatch spawn, except this time the gates are powered. => Survivor can only escape by open the gate.
.3 gen left: Like the current game stat.
.2 gen left: Like the current game stat. Except every totem that the last survivor already cleanse in a trial, the chance open a chest to spawn a dull Key is increased by 50% (requires 2 totems cleansed to get 100% chance). The chest spawns a dull Key only after EGC started.
.1 gen left: Like the current game stat. Except every totem that the last survivor already cleanse in a trial, the chance open a chest to spawn a dull Key is increased by 100%. The chest spawns a dull Key only after EGC started.
I dont think this will affect anything about balance.

On 5 gens it's not OK.
I agree with the rest

Seems like even more needless complexity that will push away new players.
No thanks.

The 5 gen is certainly not okay. Some say the hatch shouldn't be an option, but I believe you shouldn't be completely screwed because you had incompetent teammates. Yes, it should be harder, but not impossible.

Hatch is fine, whoever finds it first gets it and then gate spawn RNG decides which side has the upper hand. If the killer really wants to they can just wait by the hatch instead of closing it as well, and wait until they see the survivor to close it. It's not concerned with being "fair", its only purpose is to add the mechanics needed to put a hard time limit on the match.
A survivor isn't entitled to an escape until they've actually escaped, a killer isn't entitled to a kill until the survivor in question is sacrificed, mori'd, bled out or taken by the entity.

Yes! Your idea is okay but maybe a bit too complicated? Right track though.
I always thought that some conditions should be met for escape if you are the last person standing. Anything to make it so people pull their weight before they get a free out.
Maybe like:
- must cleanse a dull totem
- work on a gen to 25% completion
- safe rescue a teammate from hook or heal a teammate.

And what about get easier chance escape the less gen left?

There are 2 & 1 gen left, when you cleansed a totem in the trial, then you have high chance to get a Dull key when you open the chest (if there is any chest left though)

At 5 gens the hatch spawns but closed and silent, and needs to be interacted with to open it (no key). Gives survivors a chance while reducing their ability to find it through sound and escape through it mid chase.

I think the Hatch is fine as is, for the most part. Only issue I have with it involves being able to open it with the Key when there are multiple Survivors still alive.

Nah, not necessary. Even if no Gens are done, this does not mean that the last Survivor did terrible. And well, if Hatch did not spawn earlier (which is usually the case for at least the first 3 Gens), the Killer has the full advantage to find it first.
