The real reason that Identity V got the P5 crossover instead of DbD
It's pure self-preservation on The Entity's part. The Persona universe is just too dangerous. The Entity would be obliterated within a year by some band of misfit teenagers and their quirky pet. Don't believe me? Here are just the highlights of the Personaverse:
- A dog - just a normal pup, mind you - that has come to reckon with some great and terrible truth in its soul in order to channel a massively destructive manifestation of its inner self
-A dead teenage boy holding the apocalypse door closed with the sheer force of his will and soul
-A teenage boy who shot fake god in the face with real Satan amd would absolutely do it again
-A "cat" that is actually a magical contogency plan and was born of the stubborn tenacity of mankind. The cat can also channel the inner manifestation of its soul. And it can talk and is every bit as intelligent as a human.
-Whatever is going on with Teddy.

The Entity shudders in terror. How could it ever hope to face such a horrific foe?

Like I said. The Entity could never survive a universe with such horrors.

Whoever let them into identity V was a fool who will not live to regret his decision

Uh, Teddy's actually the mascot from Persona 4. Identity V got the First four Phantom Thieves and Morgana from Persona 5.
Morgana and Joker are their own special, separate breed of horrifying from Teddy. None are as blood-curdling and terrifying as Makoto though...
