If wraith can stand still and become invisible while cloaked, survivors need to hear his heartbeat
Cloak is way to op when the killer is standing still. You should be able to hear his heartbeat when they are cloaked standing still PERIOD. They can just hook someone, cloak and sit there waiting for someone to do a hook save. This is absolutely BS that wraiths can just sit there and not be detected, WTH seriously? And spare me the decloak animation time as an excuse, if they time it right they can insta grab you while you are trying to save someone off of the hook during the save animation and then hook you right away. How the hell is that even close to being fair?

Because even if he stands completely still his shimmer is visible and even if you want to discount it you've got the de cloak animation. A wraith player has an extremely tight window to do what your describing. It's near frame perfect and highly inconsistent. Players don't bet their game on such a fringe thing. Hearing the heartbeat wouldn't do you any good anyway. TR for Wraith is 32m if I am remembering that right and so that means you'd hear it well before you'd reach a hook.
At that point you're either gonna back out or make an unsafe save and still be in the exact same situation. Also the Wraith already makes sound during his cloaked state and it is very noticeable if you pay attention. He growls constantly. It is on the low side of audio, but its there. If you listen closely you can tell when he's near your by that growling and best part for you is that it is a directional sound.

You're an actual pepega if he grabs you off the hook like that. You have 3 seconds to react and he growls anyway.
Clearly, we must nerf Wraith.

Lol really, your defense is a low grunt? Went to save 2 people in a basement, wraith was sitting to the side of the staircase camping in cloak. You try and listen to his "grunting" with 2 people crying in pain on the hooks and the basement sound effects going off in the background. As for his shimmer, that's not true, if he is standing totally still, you can BARELY see his outline. Put him in front of the basement walls and you see if you can see his "shimmer".

How about a big neon sign that points to him?
If you realize the killer is camping you just go do gens instead of trying the save anyway, or try to bait him away from the hook.
In the case of Wraith you just need to get more near to check just like it would happen with Insidious, but the concept is exactly the same. Also, you can use Kindred, Spine Chill or Premonition.

Camping is a problem, definitely. It just really hurts the game, and how enjoyable it is for survivors. But nerfing Wraith isn't the solution. Nerfing camping and rewarding killers for not camping is.

You are also forgetting that in addition to the low grunt, if you listen verrrrrrrrrrrry closely, there is another soft, subtle, delicate sound played right before the Wraith goes for the play. It goes a little something like this:
BING BONG BING BONG BING BONG

I'm sorry, you're asking to NERF WRAITH?!
Um, uh...
W-welcome to the game, new player....

800+ posts on forums doesn't mean you know what you are talking about trolls. You all seem to be forgetting that he was in the basement and there was also a LOUD finished generator at the top of the stairs. Kindred is a NOPE, you have to be one of the players "on the Hook" in order for that perk to activate. Can't be responsible for what other perks survivors choose. Spine Chill or Premonition are a NOPE, you have to be in the line of sight of the killer, kinda too late once you round the left corner of the staircase and are looking at the 2 people on the hooks that you are about to save. He was uncloaking as I was rounding the corner and coming at me. 2 seconds to react while he also gets a sprint burst, ya that's not even a fair chance at that point.
There are also things in this game called "add-ins" like "the ghost" or "bone clapper" or "swift hunt" or even "Coxcombed" (Renders the Wailing Bell completely silent) that can be used on wailing bell. So BING BONG that TAG and get your head checked out.
The killer even apologized after the game admitting that what he did was #########.

Once you get to high ranks you’ll see that nothing about Wraith is OP.

Wraith is better at camping the basement than Bubba now apperantly.

I'm going to guess that the Killer was not using either of the Clappers; otherwise you would have mentioned it. So the Bing Bong still stands, and a player who thinks everyone else is wrong about the Wraith not being OP is probably not going to be looked upon highly.

Don't care about looking "highly" upon by other players buddy. Trying to address an issue. Posting troll snarky comments that are not addressing an issue isn't going to be highly look upon. You cannot hear him coming out of cloak while he is in the basement camping with a finished generator in the shack.

Oh noes. The stealth Killer who's only ability is being stealth is good at being stealthy. Whatever shall we do

Because you got caught out in a highly situational play, you want to eviscerate his power and make it so, despite being cloaked, you hear his terror radius.
"Only when he's standing still for too long!" I assume you'll protest, except, then it really wouldn't counter anything in the situation you got owned in, because they can just move back and forth at a part of the basement you can't see.
Here's the thing: If you're playing against the Wraith, you have to be aware that it's possible they might be right near you and you never know it. That's just part of the game. And yes, sometimes they'll do scummy things like use that power to hook camp. It's not against the rules. Again, it's part of the game (though they do suffer for it in Emblem scoring). The perk 'Insidious' exists, and killers can use it to have no terror radius if they stand still. Even if they're in the basement guarding someone. It's not a very powerful perk, nor is the strategy this Wraith used a particularly effective one most of the time (because good teams can quickly work out what they're doing and then it becomes like any other camping killer, they waste their time guarding a hook and accumulating almost no points while generators get popped).
If you think the killer's there, bait the hook and take the hit, or position yourself so he hits the hooked person and you get away in the meantime, or take the hit, run, hope he chases you and someone else can pull off the save while you're away. There are options.
You don't need to nerf the killer and in doing so remove their possibility of doing occasional good play that requires 'stand still' (like guarding a totem or generator the survivors return to a lot).

If you cannot hear bingbongbingbong when it is right next to you, I am concerned if the issue is aural in nature.

Buddy you're just not good at the game if you think wraith is op

You've got to be really bad at the game if you let the wraith pull you off the hook, especially if you can hear him uncloak behind you

-drinking tea- This dumpsterfire of a thread.
@Sirbloodninja, the thing that concerned me the most was that you said you couldn't hear the bing bong due to a generator.
Please say sike right now.
