How does one play around the Plague
No, this is not a post complaining the Plague is OP or needs a nerf. She's obnoxious and gross, sure, but not OP. This is just me looking for advice on how to deal with her as a survivor.

Just don't cleans unless your team does, and avoid getting sick as long as possible , do that and shes a killer with no power

Illness of course..plague only becomes strong once you cleans..now if the killer is beating you down with just m1..maybe cleanse and just stealth during her purge , but beyond that avoid cleansing and crank out the gens

your team all has to be on the same page, you either all cleanse together, or you all dont cleanse at all. If one cleanses and 3 people dont, those 3 people are screwed and are prone to Plague steamrolling through the match.
The worst thing you can do to plague is either deny her the ability to gain corruption, or corrupt so fast, all fountain's are re-cleansed before she can grab one

Just don't cleanse. That's the simple solution. I have rarely struggled against a Plague as long as my team do not cleanse.

Don't cleanse.
360 a bunch and hug objects to avoid actual stream of green puke. Don't run in a straight line and let her puke right on you until broken. Effectiveness add-ons can mitigate this though.
Now just loop her into oblivion.

This... perks like spine chill will help you know when shes coming towards you when you're broken or if she has corrupted purge.... as stated in the comment I mentioned the best way to counter her is to not cleanse and nail out gens making her feel powerless

The best way to deal with her is to not cleanse and hammer generators. She needs 3 hooks to kill people and she still has nothing to help her in a chase even if people are in the broken state. She can be looped long enough to get to 1 or 2 gens left with minimal to no losses, at which point you can cleanse and weather the storm. Even if people do cleanse, she isn't that strong depending on the map. She has a tough time around jungle gyms, shack, or any building while she has Corrupt Purge due to the stupid harsh slowdown when charging and holding the Corrupt Purge in addition to the sometimes wonky hit detection with her projectile.

I cleanse either way and I become one sneaky boy if she takes it because infinite exposed is not fun, but non infinite projectile attack is debatable

Depends on the plague, i for one can get downs by mindgames and simply outplaying most survivors so idc if you dont cleanse, because of this i run perks that slow the game like thano, ruin, pop, and lastly whatever i feel like using ( probably will use surge when the dlc drops). I think gen rushing without cleansing is really the best option but thats obvious and like i said i run a build to hinder it so most games were people try to rush fail to do it fast enough because of ruin, pop, and thano.
edit: I also bring an apple addon most of the time and having that one fountain ready for you when you need it has saved me a few games and it also sometimes causes the survivors to start cleansing which leads to me snowballing games.

Tip 1 - Do not cleanse.
Tip 2 - Do Not Cleanse.
Tip 3 - DO NOT CLEANSE.
Giving Plague her atomic breath is a hundred times more dangerous than just being injured.

Don't cleanse until all gens are done. If anybody cleanses before that, she becomes S tier
As a Plague main, I hope you ignore that advice and cleanse. Please.

You can cleanse but you have to make sure everyone else does too, if all the fountains become corrupted they instantly become normal.

as a quick summary: not cleansing only provides people with a really crappy game. the proper way to counter the plague is by running a circle around the proper sized object, since she is a ranged killer. she will have trouble hitting you with her vomit (of any color) and will be forced to m1 you if she can.
people that don't cleanse are pretty useless for anything other than staying hidden, rushing gens, and leaving to go find a game that wasn't as "boring" as the last one.
