Wake Up buff
All of Quentins perks are underwhelming and don’t have a big effect on the game. Pharmacy has potential, but can be easily swapped for Self-Care. Vigil sounds good on paper but most of the status effects are temporarily permanent with premeditated times, and Wake Up could be good but 15% extra gate opening speed isn’t that much.
I will discuss these perks later and what can be done with them, but Wake Up can be easily fixed by adjusting the numbers from 5%/10%/15% to 15%/20%/25%. I believe this will actually do something against End Game collapse or Remember Me if the gates need to be opened in a pinch. However I do believe that this perk should become an Obsession perk, so then it only makes sense that those who are affected my Remember Me also have Wake Up for potential counter-play.

WAKE UP SLEEPY A$$!!!

Even better when doubled with Ace in the Hole! Amazing medkit with an insta-heal add-on? Sign me up!

If you can't get to a chest before others it's useless. It could be made useless by Franklin's if you can never get back to your medkit or if someone else snags it.

You don’t want to buff the speed too much or remember will feel required. I am a Kate/Nea/Quentin main (love every one of their perks, yes boil over and streetwise too) and Quentin’s playstyle is more like a scout. He can get in and out quickly, help the team out then go hide. Pharmacy is way better as you get more experience in the game because you shouldn’t be wasting time in the game self caring multiple times regardless, and you can use the medkit on yourself or a teammate in a pinch (combine with botany, streetwise, or ace in the hole and your medkit is super duper!) Vigil does feel much less useful than it was before the exhaustion nerf but it is still incredible with Sprint burst. It’s not necessary with other perks but it has saved my life so many times by getting it back quicker (remember he’s a scout!). Last wake up, like I said earlier if you change the time speed it could be too powerful combined with perks such a spine chill and leader to where you could get the door open in about 12 seconds. That’s a nightmare to think about with almost no hope as killer and the developers probably want you on the edge if your for as much as possible during the game. The only thing I could think of is to buff the aura reading of the perk to not make it crazy. For example YOU get to see the aura of all nearby teammates while you are opening the exit gate. I do like the idea of it becoming an obsession perk even though Freddy was obsessed with Nancy not Quentin but that’s just details lol. Sorry for the long response I just love his perks a lot have thought a lot about how people think he’s underwhelming or any other non meta build for that matter. Be creative have fun! You don’t have to use dead hard, adrenaline, self care, DS to win. When I was playing everyday I’d get rank 1 every month using my three mains and making builds out of them. Good luck!

Yeah it's true if you're running Pharmacy then you're not going in with a medkit so killers have less reason to worry about instaheals.

This
Pharmacy is fine
Franklin's Demise is utter trash and not worth considering ever when deciding on a survivor perk loadout
0 -
No Killer is going to run Remember me just in the off chance that the Survivor is running a very specific endgame build.
25% speed increase is only a 4 second time save, it's great if you're the last survivor but not a game changer and its outclassed by leader in a lot of situations.

Deja Vu and Monstrous Shrine are trash. Franklin's is not. People make real bad decisions when they lose their items. Plus they waste time going back for them. My favorite is when an item is trapped under a pallet and can't be picked up 😅
1 -
Then what do you suggest? Anything more than 25% would become meta
0 -
Meta is not a synonym for it being bad for the game.
There will always be Meta perks regardless of what perks there are and that isn't a problem, we want as many perks to be Meta as possible because that means they are getting used.
Thus 33% for 15 second gates.
0 -
Great, then somebody can bring Leader and the exit gates can now be opened 58% faster as opposed to a maximum of 50% with Wake Up and Leader. And yes, meta does not necessarily mean OP, but then literally everyone will be using the 2 perks. The game needs diversity, not the same formula.

If every Survivor was having 2 perks dedicated to shaving off 8 seconds from the gates then I would love facing that as Killer.
That's 2 less slots being used to stab me or tank hits.
0 -
Well then good luck with that, because then with Wake Up everyone knows where the exit gate is, and you’ll have a hard time protecting just the single exit gate while the other survivors go to the next one, also knowing where it is. But your funeral I guess.

If Vigil work like: M2 on a stationary survivor for 2sec, that survivor exhaustion's time countdown will transfer to Quentins's.
Example:
David has 20sec exhaustion cool down, after Quentins perform the action to David. David will be no more exhaustion, Quentins has 20sec exhaustion.
Quentins can only take others' exhaustion to him if he has less than 30sec exhaustion, and cant use the perk if he's currently has more than 30sec exhaustion.

Simple. Don't run an endgame build and stop the exit gates from being powered.
0 -
And you are told where both exit gates are anyways
0 -
One does not stop the exit gates from being powered, unless you mean kill the survivors before the five generators are done that is. I wish there was a killer perk that could actively regress exit gate progression, but that’s another topic for later.
0 -
I do mean 3k before the exit gates are powered.
Practically you just need to 2k before the risk becomes very low that the gens will be powered (baring 1 gen left of course).
Basically there are very few games where the exit gates are powered via the gens yet I am still able to keep the gates from being powered in time. It does happen sometimes sure, but it's rare enough that this kind of build wouldn't come up too often against me.
Meanwhile it's a nerf to perks like NOED due to shortening the endgame and Bloodwarden is uneffected due to needing an opened exit gate to work anyways
0 -
Well I don’t see how this nerfs NOED, and as a matter of fact it might be considered a buff because of a time limit of finding the totem before End Game collapse runs out. Blood Warden has always been a situational perk. Sometimes you get no usage out of it, or it may work but bad timing, and there are also the rare cases where you go from a 2K to a 4K because of it.
0 -
Shorter time until opening the exit gates means less time where Survivors will be in the trial while NOED is active since they can leave sooner.
Bloodwarden being situational won't be changed by this because the time between the gates opening and the Survivors leaving wouldn't be changed by this.
0 -
The Survivors aren't on a time limit to find the totem. If the EGC has started then they can just leave and ignore NOED.
0 -
Unless if one of them is hooked, in which case not only are they on hit downed, but they can’t leave either.
0 -
You can absolutely leave while someone is hooked.
0 -
I’m just referring to SWF, almost 100% of the times they will stay back to rescue their friends.
0 -
Not my problem. If the Killer has NOED I'm not waiting around for him to kill everyone, just give him the 1k and leave.
