Invisible status Vs New in-game friends list

If i was invisible on steam and playing the game

will my friends who is also playing the game will see me in the in-game friends list?

  I'd assume it would, as other games, like ...dare I mention it, FORTNITE or COD where it runs off of your social/party tab in game.
