Thought for Gen Times and Regression Issues
I'm still pretty new to the forums, so I don't know if this idea has been raised previously. I read a few threads complaining about Gen Times and some about Survivors being able to stop regression in just one frame.
Is there any reason we shouldn't increase the rate of regression? It seems to me like it would give some real meaning to kicking gens. If the gens regressed faster, killers would have a bit more footing in the tug-of-war over gens, and on the survivor side, it might justify being able to stop regression so quickly. Maybe then people wouldn't see ruin as such a necessity(Although I do recognize that you can be effective without it). Aside from whether or not we should mess with the regression rate, what are the pros and cons?

"Such as gasoline." huh?

Yea. Gen Speeds are nuts.
1 Survivor1.0 c/s | 100 %1.0 c/s 80 seconds
2 Survivors0.9 c/s | 90 %1.8 c/s 44.44 seconds
3 Survivors0.8 c/s | 80 %2.4 c/s 33.33 seconds
4 Survivors0.7 c/s | 70 %2.8 c/s 28.57 seconds
Without perks or Toolboxes.

Oh, and also that's without GREAT skill checks.
Gen times make it where the survivors have a larger margin for error than they need, with Killers messing up once and losing. Chase that guy for about 4 seconds too long? Get Tea bagged at the exit gate that opens in 20 seconds and pauses it's progress without ever going back down.

People say gen speed is a balance problem, but with the current state the game's in, there is absolutely no need for gen speed to be nerfed or for objective time to be increased. It would just make the majority of killers absolutely broken, especially ones like Nurse or Spirit. Increasing the regression might be ok, since it doesn't affect gen time too much, but it might already be too much if we consider the 3 gen strat of killers.
Map reworks are on the way, that's the only real general balance change the game needs. Especially since it's mostly low tier killers that benefit from those reworks.

Then the Killer gets BM'ed and has to wait 10-15 minutes for a new game to do it again. (not saying this happens every time, but still...)
Also yes, BNP is stupid. So are keys to me. But at least BNP doesn't give 100% instant anymore.

Soooo, If I don't play Nurse, Spirit or Billy I'm a scrub and shouldn't play other Killers? Then if I do use them, I have no skill and shouldn't play the game?
Also, you wanna know how not to get 3 gen'ed? Don't leave 3 gens close to each other for last.

Sure, if we reduce the gen time so that the overall objetive time is more or less the same as it is now, than I would be all for it. But I feel like that would be very hard to pull off without screwing over the balance in some way or another, and I'm not sure if the devs want to change such a core design of the game so late into the game's cycle. Would be nice of course.

So, What you are saying is that if you don't play Spirit, Nurse, or Billy that you don't wanna win and should pick better killers? Then, if you do pick Nurse, Spirit or Billy, you have no skill and should be removed from the game?
Also, wanna know how not to get 3 gen'ed? Don't leave 3 gens close together last.
That aside, I do think Gen speeds are insane. There is no reason for them to be so fast.

I realize this came off more salty than I wanted it. But I do get tired of those TOP three being brought up. There are alot of Killers and alot of people wanna play them. We need to think about them too. There is a HUGE difference between the Top 3 and the 4th. The gap is so large there.

I'm not sure I understand what you are telling me.
All I think this game needs is to buff weaker killers, maybe to the level of huntress or freddy, and have some of the bad maps reworked a bit. That's enough, we don't need increased gen time. It would buff killers way too much. Especially since we already have viable killers. Buffing the weaker killers by buffing killers in general is not the way the devs should do it.

I realize this came off more salty than I wanted it. But I do get tired of those TOP three being brought up. There are alot of Killers and alot of people wanna play them. We need to think about them too. There is a HUGE difference between the Top 3 and even the 4th. So yes, I agree. Some of the Killers are not even fun anymore. Look at Legion, and there crippled state now. I used to love them (WITHOUT THE EXPLOIT! It's that things fault they are in a crater now) but now its a sad, boring affair to try and use them at all.

Gens regress at 0.25 charges per second. i wouldn't be against an extra 0.05 or even 0.1 on top of that. Overcharge should buff regression speed though.

Overcharge doesn't even do much does it? If you don't have PGTW then you are doomed. (Yea Ruin helps... for like 30 seconds)

Oh and Gen tapping is silly. You shouldn't be able to boop a gen with one finger and make it stop regressing.

Uber hard skillcheck that most experienced players can hit even if its unexpected, as its very similar to dstrike. if the gen kick gave bonus regression overtime it would be far more worth it

I agree with this. Though "Uber-hard" is relative if most can hit it.

Thing about the 3 gen strat is it's survivors that put themselves in that position, so why do killers have to pay for it by these silly gen times? Survivors can spread out to start the game and leave gens further apart, it's part of the strategy they should use.
I watched a game earlier where 3 gens popped within two minutes of the game starting, through ruin. That's with one survivor being chased 15 seconds into the game. That shouldn't be possible really.

Exactly what I was saying.
