Stop it survivors
For the love of God can survivors please stop walking up to ghostface when you're trying to reveal him.
No the reveal is not inconsistent for the most part it's the fact that your character model can block ghostface making him harder to reveal.
If your character model is even partially blocking ghostface you are hindering your reveal process however when you are standing in front of him like a lemon this does nothing but benefit him.
So what ends up happening nine times out of ten is that the survivors who do this end up getting exposed before the reveal him at which stage they start complaining about how broken ghostface is.
So for the love of God follow this little hint if you wouldn't do it with a Myers don't do it with ghostface.
If you want to reveal him make sure your first priority is that you're blocking the line-of-sight that he has on you as much as possible or when you try to reveal him do it when he's unaware of your presence like if you're behind him.

"No the reveal is not inconsistent"
The reveal mechanic is buggy as hell. Even big streamers who play this game more than any normal person here confirmed it (for example @ScottJund and Puppers). Ghostface is an unfished product and very frustating for both sides.

It's inconsistent. Both on killer and survivor side.

Like I get constantly revealed behind walls as Ghostface, but apparently it's not an inconsistent problem according to some posters. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Of course they will, based on their demographic whether survivor or killer they will ask for buffs favored to that demographic. Like say Tru3 decent player and technically plays both sides but still has a larger killer population so who do you think he is going to want buffed? Saying that the game is balanced or that something is fine doesn't get you twitch primes and donos.

According to int3r4ct's video on ghostface. There's a 0.3second buffer after ghostface isn't being seen, where it acts like it's being seen.
Meaning you only look at him for 1.2 second and he will get revealed anyway

It has been stated before but just in case you guys didn't get it there is a buffer before it will stop considering ghost face in the reveal phase.
This buffer will initiate when he's about to enter the reveal phase and when he's leaving reveal phase.
This means that if a survivor is looking at ghostface for at least 1.2 he will be revealed no matter what even if he gets behind cover or even if the survivor turns away.
This is typically why ghost faces tend to get revealed behind walls or like in the video you showed ghostface got revealed even though he turned away.
While I can admit that the game is pretty buggy at some stages of the last once you know exactly how it works is really not as inconsistent as you think. A better word to describe it would be complicated very tediously complicated
Start watching from 4:25.
As he does give a good summary of revealing works
