Should Rank have some rewards after every reset?
A common thing that i have constantly thought about and wondered why rank is merely a bragging right. Why is there no reward for getting to rank 1 as either survivor or killer? I heard there used to be when the game first came out but took it away for some reason. My thoughts on this is there should be a reward for being in a certain rank group or rank 1 for both survivor and killer. An example would be being rank 1 at the end of a season you get like x amount of iridescent shards + x amount of blood points.

There definitely should be rewards. Really wouldn't be hard to implement some simple BP rewards..

It should so it actually makes going into high ranks worth it also devotion should give something too

Ranks 20-15 - 250 shards
15-10 - 350 shards
10-5 - 450 shards
5- 1 - 550 shards

Yeah, even rainbow six even rewards you for your rank with a weapon charm.

Rewards shouldn't be rank dependant imo. It just unfairly cuts off the majority of casual players from a reward. Especially when lobbys are tough to find or you play solo it's way tougher.
Maybe rewards for playing every say 50 matches

It's been 3 year, if they wanted to give reward it would already be in the game by that point.
The ranking system is garbage, being high rank only "reward" you with worse matchmaking time...
They might as much get ride of rank alltogether

I'd be interested to know what the rewards used to be on release. I've been playing since about three months post-release and I don't recall anything like that, so they must have removed it very early - which means it was probably broken af. Curious what it was, if it was ever actually a thing and not just a random rumour.

Shouldn't it be based on merit? If you want more shards people will strive to improve for the reward and they'll be more matches in high rank

I just feel like rewarding rank and winning encourages competition and it asks a lot more questions towards balance.
Everyone will want to play the strongest killers with the strongest add ons to maintain super high rank to get their reward.
If I want to play random killers with strange perks why should you not receive rewards when you've been a million times more sporting fun and creative.
Every 10 games you should get 500 iridescent shards, it sounds tiny but it adds up.
I also think that if you vote up a random player you should both get 20 irridescent shards and it should be a one button action to vote up a player rather than having to go to the menu full of reportable actions.

Queue montage of someone dying fast several games in a row and upvoting everyone to get shards...XD
But some reward based on which rank you got would be nice. Like
Rank1-1000 shards + 200.000 bps
Rank2- 800 shards + 180.000bps
3-600shards +160.000bps
4-400 shards + 140k bps
5-200 shards + 120k bps
6- 200k bps
7-180k
8-160k
And so on until
15- 20k bps
Nothing for 16 and below, it's too easy to climb that

I mean if you can only vote up once the Game had ended or if the game had to be running for at least 5 minutes to qualify for a vote up.

But you make it sound like people aren't already playing the strongest killers at the moment because it gives the chance of winning and even then you'll still find people with meme builds as killer and tbh I'd rather them balance the game from red ranks anyway since if your balancing from the lower end you'll just have the high ranks abusing whatever loophole the helps low ranks

One of my problems with this game is why does it have Rank and no rewards.
First off this game 100% should not have Rank it should be Casual only or add a Casual mode.
I wanted Rank to be a mode where both killers and survivors go in without perks, items or add-ons and no map offerings. Each round Survivors should be able to ban 1 killer from use & Killer should be able to ban 1 survivor from use. (You cannot ban the same killer or survivor for each round)
Casual mode should be what we have now.
As for rewards, I think they should give AC for making it to Ranks 1-4, Shards for 5-8, BP for 9-12, very small amount of BP for 13-16 & nothing for 17-20.

There have been wishes for a rank reward SINCE THE LAUNCH OF THE GAME. Since the very first player reached rank 1 and realized they got nothing but a soddy achievement after the rank reset.
There wouldn't be such a crappy distribution of ranks every game if there was rank rewards because it'd motivate people to actually rank up.. instead of being low ranked and trolling newbies.
But Behavior have their priorities. More and more content. Skins, battle passes and cosmetics. Money, money and money. Doing something that makes sense in every other game that have a ranking system? Doesn't generate revenue, not important.

My only complaint is the price of cosmetics compared to how few you get everytime you level up devotion.

bpts based on rank color so white= a default 100k just for newer people
yellow will remain 100k bpts
Green 200k
Purple 400k
Red 600k
The reason for the amount is you are going to need a very significant reward for people to want to rank up I am aware it is a bit high
Alternatively Shards you can apply this to shards. just take away the 0s
