who was your first killer and why?
just curious to see what people say. i was playing the game last night with a friend and hes only a rank 19 survivor now. and like 6/10 games we went against Wraith. and i get it, he can literally turn invisible, i see why thats a good idea for newer players. but not everyone starts with Wraith, so im curious as to who other people started with, and more specifically why.
theres of course licensed characters you couldve started with because you liked the movies, characters you pick just because of the way they look, the power sounds interesting, ect ect.
so why'd you pick who you did when you were just entering the fog? for me, it was Hag. i just liked the idea of having traps in places that i could teleport back to. plus her claw arm looks kinda cool while playing.

I started with hag. Because teleporting sounded fun.
Game went like
"Can't see anything is this corn"
"Where's anyone?"
"How do I follow scratchmarks?"
"Ha, hit you! Why aren't you falling to the ground?"
"Why are you running so fast after I hit you?"
"Where did you go?"
"My trap activated! Why can't I teleport?"
"Ha! Hooked you! Now let's surround you with traps"
Don't remember how many escaped..I think at least 3 did...

Classy Trapper. Was big fun back in the days.

I started playing DBD back in 2016 , when there were only original 3 (Trapper , Wraith and Hillbilly) . And to be honest Hillbilly was the only reason I bought DBD back then . I was very excited to play as chainsaw wielding maniac , my first 100 hours or so was only Hillbilly , I didn't play anyone else neither other 2 killer nor survivor . Second was the Trapper , I've liked him for being some kind of strategic killer and also his bulky design .

Huntress when Lullaby for the Dark came out after playing Survivor for a long time and my first game went quite well, Guess I was always born to use them hatchets
0 -
Trapper, because beta.
1 -
I don't remember, at the very start I was playing more survivor than killer, but wanted to try all killers to know what they do and learn how to play against them.
0 -
Nurse took my killer virginity but that didn't go well as you can imagine.
So after 1 game i played trapper as he looked the simplest killer to use, so that i could get used to the game mechanics.

I tried trapper in beta and instantly hated this game. I didn't feel like the brutal killer I was supposed to be.
then I quit and tried again a few months after launch and did a little better
Then quit because some other game caught my attention then came back for some dlc or another.
It's all a blur after that.

Legion, because of Joey's amazing skin, their lore and game mechanics (yeah I like his ability even tho it's weak and needs buffs).
Still remember when I hit same survivors 2-4 times with FF hoping it will down them just to see them sprint burst and me stunned with "WHY DON"T YOU DIE?!". After 2-3 matches with him I realized you can't down people with FF :D

Myer's was my first main. It was what a friend of mine was playing at the time.

Started with Huntress because before the Howling Grounds event was announced I didn't play killer. Obviously wasn't great at the role but I was better than I thought I would be and I actually enjoyed it, ever since then I've tried to play both sides as equally as I can.

I started with Hillbilly at first because I heard he was really good and fast af. Then I switched to Pig :P
0 -
Michael Myers because he was Michael Myers.
2 -
Michael Myers was the reason i got the game, i love the movies, and i had to get the game when he was released
1 -
Huntress was the first killer I ever played, I had no idea what was going on, I didn't know how to use her hatchets, didn't know how to long lunge, I actually thought she was the worst killer from how slow she was
0 -
I was a camping huntress when I started.
0 -
Michael Myers, because I'm a huge Halloween movie fan. He's my main as killer now.
2 -
Non blinking nurse I was.
1 -
I first played Doctor because you could find people faster.
0 -
I went with doctor first because up until that point I only played survivor, and I heard he was the easiest to farm bloodpoints on.
0 -
I started on the hillbilly for 2 games. Thought he looked cool and my missus who plays as a survivor was commenting on how much she hated hearing his chainsaw.
Then tried the Wraith, sucked mores arse than a porn star.
3rd times a charm though and I fell in love with the Trapper. Chasing people with a machete is so much fun to me that even when I kill nobody I have a great time.

My first killer was the Xenomorph because I'm from the future and it was in the game when I first played it.

0K did I get

🐷💕

For me it was good ole doc..because I didnt want to start with nurse whom I knew was extremely hard to play..so I started with doc because he was the king of blood points and besides..I love zapping my enemies with lightning

Trapper. Never used his traps, also camped a lot.
1 -
Trapper.
at the point in time i started playing there were only 3 available killers:
1) Trapper
2) Wraith
3) Hillbilly
i tried them all and i personally found the wraith to be rather underwhelming (even though the rest of the playerbase thought he'd be the most OP killer in the game, i never really got warm with him) and billy too hard to play (please note we were all huge noobs back then xD)
trapper on the other hand was perfect, as i always loved tactical games and he had that. on top of that, i just adored his design, so a trapper main was born.
the good old times... when you were allowed to place your traps with no unnecessary restrictions and trapper was considered to be the strongest killer in the game (by the stats that is)
1 -
Trapper, because again, that was the only killer in the game at the time.
1 -
Wraith.
He just appealed to me.
0 -
Wraith - cuz i love any game that has stealth options (even tho its quite ######### useless atm)
Leatherface - to heavily punish survivors that bumrush the hooks, back when instablinds, vacuum pallets, pallet towns , BT affecting both survivors and get out of jail free ds were a thing.
Doctor - he is just fun to play with (i have his laugh as a ringtone)
Spirit - she is just fun to play with and i do love tracking down survivors using my actual ears! (just by playing her i could hear ######### GRASS from a corner because a survivor moved as other killers)
0 -
Trapper - he was the only killer in alpha.
1 -
I picked up the game just as Nurse dropped. My first killer was Wraith
So I played him in the dark days. Many a day spent slowly breaking hundreds of pallets while all my hooks got saboed.
And this was in the original bloodweb, so getting a level was an accomplishment.
By the time I got to 30, I realized how crap his perks were back then (only good one he had was Shadowborn and it got nerfed into the ground by the time I had it). I didn't want to poison my future killer bloodwebs with those crap perks, so I dropped him and switched to Trapper for Brutal Strength and Agitation. Took him to 40 for his perks then switched to Billy and took him to 40 for his perks.
By that time, Myers had dropped and I took up Myers. Myers was the first killer I ever took to 50 and rank 1.
From that point forward, I leveled every killer I had to 50, including the originals. Only one I never leveled to 50 was nurse as I find her gameplay difficult to control
At some point I picked up Doc and made him my only P3 killer.
1 -
Trapper, he's super close to Jason(basically is Jason) plus me and him share a first name.
1 -
Doctor because he's basically a supervillain. I may not play him anymore, but he still holds a place in my heart.
2 -
Once I was a baby trapper
1 -
I started with Trapper because I love traps, I love the feeling of setting up traps for people to fall into and try to escape, that feeling of outplaying them and suddenly putting them under my power, the dominance. Plus the sound of setting up traps is music to my ears, the metallic clicking just feels good. If Trapper was just a little bit more powerful and didn't have the problem of traversing the map for his traps at the start then I would play him a lot more.
After Trapper I swiftly moved to Freddy, he was a big reason I bought the game.

I played Billy his power seemed amazing to me back in the day
1 -
Trapper cause I enjoy seeing everyone get trapped after teabagging me at a pallet

I arrived June 2018. My first was Myers. Why? It needs no explanation. It's Michael Myers.
1 -
I too started as a camping huntress
1 -
Leatherface because I needed that sweet sweet BBQ Bloodpoints bonus, as I climbed the ranks and swf bullies became crazy I switched to Spirit and never looked back.
0 -
I started the day after launch and I went with hillbilly. I was sold on the insta down and fast movement speed.
0 -
Played Hag.
Had no idea what I was doing. Picked her blindly. My first game with her was on treatment theater. Thought the screams you can hear on treatment theater were where survivors were.
0 -
I think my very first was Hillbilly on the Nurse map
0 -
Huntress.
I honestly didn't realize the menu had a scrollbar and just assumed everyone else wasn't unlocked.

Trapper. Got really good with his traps and finding new places to put them. I still use him when I want to hear that wonderful SNAP!
