It's a power icon for a scrapped Killer called the Teacher. The teacher was a killer made during the early design phases of the game, but never made to the actual beta or live game. It still has files in the game though. Another killer they thought about making in the early days was called the Crusher who would have had the power to destroy terrain, but they deemed that too powerful so scrapped the idea pretty quickly.

Nobody knows what they're doing. For all we know they've moved on and just left some files in there because it doesn't matter.
Why act like we don't already have several female killers? Also, where does it say the Teacher was going to be female?

Well if you count the legion as being separate then yes we have multiple. But...
Males have:
Myers
Billy
Trapper
Freddy
Joe
Frank
Leatherface
Ghostface
Doctor
Clown
So Males have 10 Killers (Including Legion)
Females have:
Nurse
Hag
Huntress
Pig
Plague
Spirit
Susie
Julie
So in total Females have 8 Killers (Including Legion)
So females have 2 Less Killers than males. So The Teacher should indeed be female.

There doesn't have to be exactly 50/50 men and women lol.

But, I would love more Variety. We need some female killers to fill that gap between too much males and too little females.. That's My Opinion.

Plus it serves as a nice lil "We thought of this once" easter egg.

I don't see how adding more female killers would create more "variety" when it's already a nearly even split. If it was all male and they added a female killer, then yes it would create variety.
Male or female isn't the only way they can create variety, though. The best way to create variety is to make killers with creative and unique powers.
I don't think the devs should restrict their creativity to ensure there is a 50/50 split. They should be free to bring their visions to reality, regardless of whether the killers happen to be male or female.

I think the Crusher made an appearance in the Hallowed Blight Lore entries. Benedict Baker seems to have run into him.

I just remember the metal jaws and destroyed terrain. Too bad we'll never see that one in game, at least for a while. Sounds like an awesome killer.

I agree. I remember there was speculation at the time that he would be the new killer but I think it was Legion they introduced next, right?

Yeah, Legion was next. I missed Legion and Plague's releases, but I'm caught up now. : P
