Personal tip: don't buy the new dlc on day 1
It's the safest way to avoid buying a weak, nerfed killer imo.

Thanks for the heads up, I was actually going to mention this too.

what is the difference between buying on day 1 and day 10 or whenever you think is better? It is the same killer it is the same game they are the same designers. I don't even regret buying Ash dlc with the nerf MoM got after a month. Developers made designer choice which is their prerogative. So either you want it all or you don't. It won't change my mind either on day 1 or day 50.

I'll still buy for the perks. Besides, like @antgnstea said, what difference is there buying day 1 or some other day?
1 -
im buying for fun and because the demogorgon looks cool. im not buying to be able to be a god tier killer.

What's the point? A lot of dbd players and stranger things fans are gonna buy this chapter. People just wanna play something new though

Where's my refund for clicking on this thread?

My collection of survivors and killers needs to stay complete.

Somewhere over the rainbow.

They'll release patch notes alongside its release, and they seem very reluctant to touch killers after release nowadays. I wouldnt worry about it too much

Not a bad idea for some of the baby killer mains.
Wait till after the nerf cause then everyone doesn't have to hear you whine about buying the killer and it getting nerf'ed shortly afterwards.
Save everyone the trouble. That should help keep the killer queues down a bit aswell.
I however don't care if they make changes afterwards.

Devs tend to collect more feedback (aka survivor whining) even after official release, and they mostly announce hotfixes (aka unnecessary killer nerfs) in the span of 2 weeks after official release.

Found the toxic survivor main. Go dwell on hybridpanda and noob3's channels where your opinions will get praised. Nah who am I kidding? Your survivor biased opinions will get praised here too.

What's the point of playing a killer that'd start out good but then get nerfed to trash?
0 -
You mean Ghostface? He is not trash though.
But killers like Legion and Plague, yeah they're weak.
1 -
Which is usually (not really, but not my point) necessary. Anyways, there's still the point of it not mattering when you buy the DLC. Something will always change down the line.

That's what I'm afraid of, buying the dlc and having them nerf it's content a week later. And it's not just about the killer, I also hope they don't nerf inner strength.

Okay, how in the world is GF better than Legion and Plague? He presses m2, loses a power in 1,5 seconds of being stared at (literally the killer that gets destroyed the most by survivor awareness), has to wait 30s to recharge only to have the process be repeated.
Plague needs so little to either have everyone permanently injured or have 60s of minigun hatchets. Legion might be m1 but at least he can have some pressure by injuring people.

Things will always change. I bought the Legion and enjoyed them, now I'm playing them after their 'rework' cause I'm addicted to self punishment.
But I agree, Inner Strength shouldn't be touched at all. Though, it's unlikely it'll be touched.

I was mostly referring to what they did to old Freddy and GF, Legion's changes made him at least better since his first version was a sad excuse for an m2 killer.

Oh buddy... You have no idea how Ghostface can be strong. Ghostface just needs a good hiding spot and you will be already exposed, and the fact that he doesn't make any sound in Night Shroud, it makes him the best stealth killer in the game. You don't even need to use his power properly by stalking, you can just sneak up on people and get a free hit/grab + all stealth killers will get buffed soon with him, so yeah it will be scary to play against him.

Old Freddy is a special case. Back when the Devs had a very hilarious knee jerk reaction to complaints made by Rank 50 survivors. Ghost Face was fixed after the PTB, and can hold his own, except in the Corn Maps.
Legion might've not been good as a traditional killer, but they were fun to use by virtue of being pure speed. Now they are just... Sluggish.

And if the survivors are ballsy and smart, you'll lose your power every time you activate it and will spend more time hiding from them than pressuring.

I agree with everything but GF, he's become very weak.
0 -
Survivors are already have a problem with revealing him, the addons for decreasing just make it harder for them. Also maps like Lery's, The Game or The Lab are just a heaven for him. I've faced a very good Ghostface's players that are very good with him.

@MemberBerry I don't consider myself a "main"... I grew out of that after my first 1000 hours.
0 -
errr... a bit aggressive for no reason. And then telling them they should go watch a certain streamer because you consider them toxic lul
0 -
Okay so what are you gonna do on maps that aren't Lery's, The game or Hawkins? What is GF gonna do on a big map like Red forest? Most farm maps? What is he gonna do on Autohaven maps? His reveal being bugged and him still struggling only shows how horrible a killer is that they need a bug to be barely decent.

Such a good one. Thanks. I needed a good laugh to help me get through this long work day.

Corn maps - It's hard to reveal him through the corn.
Red forest - It's not a bad for him, they're a lot of trees to hide behind.
Autohaven - A lot of titles are there, so he can still stick around them.
0 -
I mentioned Red forest because of size, so no map pressure to be had. I mentioned Autohaven because of 0 mindgame loops that he can do nothing about but get revealed through.
0 -
Actually, corn doesn't count as line of sight blockers (far as I'm aware) for survivors. Corn is actually a huge detriment to him.
I agree with everything else.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm still buying it day 1.

Pot calling the kettle black. Have you looked in a mirror lately, toxic killer main?
0 -
I want to buy DLC because I want to support this game. Demogorgon can be the weakest killer I don't care 🙂

How am I toxic if he's the first to call me a baby killer?
