Survivor-rulebook
Just a short story
Today, as a spirit I met as a group of survivors with one of them running OOO. As usual ruin got destroyed pretty fast, and the gens popping left and right. After I took one of them down I noticed they are SUPER altruistic and gen progression stopped completely. So I did the only reasonable thing and camped the OOO guy.
I proceed as normal until all 4 are gone for good and even it wasn't the most fun I was satisfied with the result. Typically one the survivors asked me why I camped this poor fallow and demand an explanation for my behavior. I told him I did it because of OOO and I'm just returning the favor and play toxic as well.
he wasn't happy with that and told me I have to follow THE RULES . I disagreed and ask that he should go to the forum and ask the community, but instead he went on reddit and explained the situation half-assed. Now I'm the bad guy.
Thanks for reading and sorry for my bad english.
Kind regards,
Biohazard

OoO is a perk that puts the survivor at risk but gives them surveillance of the killer, how is that toxic? Seems like you might be using your own killer rule book too? *shrugs*

I feel like you mistake Survivor greed for unhooks (because of the points) for toxicity. It's just bad strategy and they're basically making it harder for themselves.
OoO to me means that the one running it seems confident and if you are able to get them out the game asap you might have knocked out the strongest player.
Having said that OoO players may be prepared to be chased.
People seem to ignore the bad actions they take when they end up suffering dire consequences from them. Just don't get caught up in argument. They just want to be told that they aren't the problem.

OoO is ok until you start taunt the killer with it. And in my opinion If you use it to provoke, even running in my direction to engage a chase is the purset form of disrepect and i wont tolerate that.

AS it has been said already, it seems like you have a rulebook for survivors as well. I mean camping is fine, it's a strategy in this game. And of couirse it's allowed to camp.
But so is using OoO, and if survivors run to you and try and engage a chase with you, then they are just using the perk, that's it. And making usage of any perk, no matter how, is also allowed.

Normally I won't discuss with survivors in the chat because each of us has a different opinion on this subject, but if someone starts quoting "you have to be nice to us no matter how much we disrespect you" and "it's against our imagine rules" kinda got triggered me.

I never stated its not allowed to use that perk in that way, but you have to face the consequences if you ended up on a hook. And don't get me wrong, but after the 3. time today against SWFs with OoO, FL and Toolboxes I got kinda fed up with that behavior some survivors forward the killer.

Titles “Survivor Rulebook.”
”I camped the guy because OoO and ‘toxic.’”
I guess they should’ve read your rulebook before the match, unlucky!

@Biohazard Running at the killer to distract them and waste time isn't toxic, YOU just think it is. As others have said, what they're doing is a tactic - same as slugging/camping etc.

Everything survivors do is toxic. Playing Swf? Toxic. Running OoO? Toxic. Repairing gens? Toxic. Running from the killer? Toxic. Hiding in a locker? Toxic. Breathing? Toxic. Playing Dead by Daylight? Toxic.

Same as survivors think that camping/tunneling is toxic, both sides has their perspective and that´s why i normally dont argue about that subject.
good idea, should probably do the same :)

haha survivor rule book very original saying

Were they all hovering around the hook? If so, I would have camped them too. Otherwise, I wouldn't have camped because since they're in SWF the guy should have told them he was being camped and they should have rushed gens. I'm also surprised none of them tried to use BT. The OoO should have had DS too, otherwise I have no clue what these guys were thinking.

If someone is just following you around w/ OoO, ignore them. They're not on gens and are as functional as a dead teammate if they're following you around unless you're a trap based killer.
Then, once they're used to you ignoring them, then chase them when they're caught out in a bad position.

You can bet all 3 of them hovered around the hook like an helicopter, but could not afford to rescue because one of them got into dying state and the other two were injured. I even mentioned in the chat to do gens if someone camps but he claimed that he won´t let someone die on his watch.
i ignored him otherwise i had lost the game. He was as OoO typical good at looping so i switched to "weaker" targets. I only caught him because his mates used up a large chunk of pallets in this area.

Everything killers do is camping. Destroying Pallets? Camper. Follow scratch-marks? Camper. Kicking a gen? Camper. Hitting a survivor? Camper. Not Immediately leaving the hook? Camper. Standing in the corner of the map? Camper. Playing dead by Daylight? Camper.
I can play this game too mate

Survivor rule #72916492 : if someone takes to the forums to voice their opinions on a matter it falls to many other entitled survivors to call the killer "bad" or to say "looks like your playing by the killers rulebook"

If you want to run OOO then you should be ok with anything the killer does to get you out. Every killer has to assume you are running it as part of swf. 90% of the time I see this perk its on someone being obnoxious and toxic to the killer while the rest of their team benefits from constant updates.

OoO does nothing but promote toxic bahavior.
there is no other use to the perk other than gaining the killers attention, which basically translates to "hey, come and get me if you can, while i keep calling out your position to my team mates and loop you into oblivion!"
imo its one of the worst designed perks ingame.
as a killer, whenever i see OoO, this person dies first, since i see it as them basically announcing, they believe they would still be able to easily beat me, even though they continuously reveal their position to me.
not to mention, that it suck out the fun for many of the killers that rely on stealth / traps to work.
i am really hoping for changes to the perk. NO, NOT NERFS! changes. an activation condition would be a good start, like a reverse BBQ. or a complete overhaul of the current perk and completely new effects, like a mapwide bond or maybe an aura blocker.

Best thing you could do!

This is why the game has such toxicity problems. Each side trying to anger the other side more.
In all honesty, it sounds like you got matched with a nasty group of survivors. It happens unfortunately.
Since you were playing Spirit, you probably could have won if you kept your cool.
But even still, I don't think it's worth trying to out-toxic the other side. If you get matched with a SWF commando team, just play normally as best you can. If you win, then savor your victory. If not, just move on. Hopefully, one day map design and crutch perks won't be around to prop up bully squads.

This include survivors rulebook and killer rulebook btw
You play toxic? I play toxic. Deal with it.
You want to post salty comment? Too bad! I always close the chatbox!
Seriously, i hate people making their OWN RULES

I've not used OoO yet but that's mainly because I'm more of a sneaky player and don't think I'm the best looper. And since I play solo it would only benefit me. I wouldn't use it in the way you're suggesting and believe it or not there are people who just want to play the game properly.
But you're only viewing this from the Killer's perspective, as I've said before, trying to get the killer's attention is NOT toxic. It's a strategy and they're the bait/distraction. That's like saying 'tunneling is purely toxic and isn't a strategy'. Fair enough if they're teabagging and flashing you but that's not what is being discussed. There are toxic players on each side, I know - I was literally PM'd the other day by a team mate and called a loser (pretty tame but why even bother) because I escaped as he got downed.
Let's just all agree that people are idiots and need to turn down the (actual) toxic.
