BVHR, you have Survivors disconnecting to give their friends the hatch
BVHR, you have Survivors disconnecting to give their friends the hatch, is it against the rules? If so, no-one seems to know about it.
How about a note in the client about disconnecting?

Disconnects are tracked and if they exceed the threshold they get banned.

Ehm, why is it a problem ?
If they accept to loose their progression to make their friends win, good for them. Especially if the killer let them bleed out until he finds the last guy so the hatch doesn't open (most annoying thing ever).
6 -
Because it's unfair and stops the killer from getting his progression.
Also against the rules

It's as against the rules as any other disconnection. So no point in reporting it, as unless they reach the punishment threshold they won't recieve any punishment for it. Not treated any differently to any other "use" of disconnecting.
At least the upcoming queue cooldown system will make it less convenient, as people that disconnect a lot for any reason will spend more and more time waiting to queue as opposed to playing the game. Maybe they'll do everyone a favor and quit for the day, or maybe even uninstall the game entirely if we're lucky.

With the new dedicated servers and the ability to track matches better then most likely this will be punishable in the future. If not an outright ban maybe a punishment that stops people from queuing for a few minutes or couple of hours.

you slug and propably proxy camp, they cant kill themselves on hook, so they dc, simple.
there's barely any counterplay to slugging and if you proxy the slug its wasted 4 minutes or so, so i'd say grow up and dont waste peoples time

DCs are tracked for banning. If they do it too much they will be banned. Don't worry your little head over it.
3 -
DC's should be a multiplied thing, 1 DC = no punishment. 2 DC's within 3 games = 5 minute ban. 3 C's within 4/5 games = 10 minute ban you get the point

OP raises a good point, downed survivors ought to be able to kill themselves without DCing.
5 -
i think the devs are planning to have DCing survivors to leave an empty husk players can interact with.
this would prevent survivors from DCing to deny killers BBQ stacks, hook points or mori, but it would also prevent them from leaving to give their friends the hatch, as the husk needs to die first.

The "husk" system that is about to be implemented will do away with this.

Nice make the killer lobby wait time even longer

I'm not gonna speak for others but even if I'm killer I'd rather wait longer than get some galaxy brain that disconnects because they "disagree" with how I downed them or something.
Don't really care if people DC to give hatch, at least at that point the vast majority of the game went by without a disconnect making it a joke of a match and I've already won.

First of all, never disconnect because you get no progression or BP and risk a ban.
Regarding quick hook deaths:
If you are down to 2 survivors and get hooked by a toxic hemorrhoid of a killer, I feel it's fine to die on hook in order for the final survivor to escape.
The last survivor on the hook will also purposely die without a struggle so the killer doesn't get to find and close the hatch for a bonus.

Yes it's stupid, especially when a swf with keys do it just to be toxic. DCs need to be punished hard and bans given. And no, waiting til they DC half of their games to slap them on the wrist isn't working nor enough.

What I really hate is when the third survivor DCs the very moment I down them, Like, dude, I was going to hook you. Even if they're slugged, I don't think it's good to DC to give the hatch, but not even giving the killer a chance to hook them? That's really bad sportsmanship.

I call that true teamwork, even tho the DC risks his bloodpoints and rank
