Waiting 5 minutes to join an unmatched rank game
Is it ridiculous that as a single player you have to wait, on average, 5 minutes to be matched up with 3 other people that are 50% of the time several ranks higher (number wise) than you? Does anyone else experience this? I often find myself in matches thinking, after only a few minutes of play time, "well I guess I'll just have to find the hatch or ghost an exit gate because there is absolutely no way this "team" is getting 5 generators done.. At the end I always wonder why I play another game. Feels like I don't value my time. Or the hope of a random decent game (1/10 I'd say) keeps me coming back for more. Sad..

The match making in the game is currently not the best... and with hopes of Dedicated Servers, this should be better in the future.
Its not uncommon to be paired with people that're in Red Ranks or Purple Ranks if you're say... in Green Ranks. But what you're also experiencing with how they do in said games, could possible just be the best that bracket has to offer.
If you're in Green Ranks, you'll commonly get potatoes, its even worse in Yellow or Grey, this is due to those Ranks being more "noobie" so its expected. If you do get to Purple or Red Ranks, you'll see a drastic increase in player skill when you go solo.
At the end of the day though, solo survivor is a treacherous journey, due to how common it is for communication to fall flat on its face... when there isn't any in-general lol.

Is this some PC issue that I'm too PS4 to understand? I just started playing like a week ago right before the rank reset and haven't experienced any unbalanced games so far.

I don't know man. I play on PS4 and if I want to play survivor i have wait at least 5 min only to be matchmade with a killer and survivors who are much higher rank than me. As a beginner this is not a lot of fun.

I play on ps4, and it doesn't take more than a minute to find a lobby. Killer or survivor

I just did. My queue was almost instant. But as a rank 20 killer I got matchmade against rank 12 - 14. Wasn't fun nor was it fair.

Ok but you still got in a have with a wait. Is your having long queue times switch rolls and see what happens.

Matchmaking is bad and only gets worse the longer your waiting. I keep my wait to a minimum and refresh if its going longer. I don't have any concrete evidence that this works but I have noticed the ranks are a little tighter outside of swf.

The response of, if it's taking too long to connect as a survivor - play killer, is asinine. How about if it's taking too long to play as the killer you like - play as a killer you don't like? Would you enjoy that?
I don't want to play killer or I would, and I have used this tactic at times, but being that there are 4 survivors and 1 killer, they only need 20% of players to want to play the killer to have a perfect connection flow. If the company can't get enough people that want to play killer they need to fix that issue. I'm on PS4 BTW.

This is a survivor's wait time. For me, it takes 10 minutes to even get a lobby, and can take 15+ just for 4 people who stay to get a game.

Well, plenty of people have suggested an unranked mode. This is just the beta test.
