There's a big difference between you and the Killer.
They had no Perks and you are well past getting Devotion 1.
Their technique probably indeed was bad, but i feel like they can be excused, they're very new, and this was probably a lesson for them.

Rank reset doesnt put you back at 19. Unless you're 17/18. That guy was NEW new.
And rank reset doesnt matter, because RANK doesnt matter, because its JUST A TERM FOR YOUR MATCHMAKING BRACKET.

Dude, they're so new they probably dont know ######### camping means. You would have 4 escaped either way.

i dont feel like you taught this player anything. i mean... his camping worked, you all got hooked twice, as you said. he might think he played right, just couldnt quite get the last hooks. so i dont think this was as effective a harsh lesson as you think.

It looked like a good match to me. Everyone got out but everyone scored big. Even the Wraith pipped from that match for sure.
But well, what can I say, Wraiths tend to be the biggest campers in this game, even more than Leatherface.

Actually he isn't.
A newb wouldn't be able to score 22k like that on a loss. You are reading way too much into this.
A newb also wouldn't have zero perks. A real newb would have one perk equipped. Try thinking a little before posting. You are just seeing what you want to see without actually thinking it through.

unless everyone kept throwing themselves at the camper, which the OP said that they did. and unless a newb doesnt know how to access the perk menu, which is completely possible as one of my friends didnt know how. im not saying its impossible it was an alt account, but its also possible this really was a new player.

@Mookywolf Same on my end. As I talked about earlier with my 32-year-old sister who gave the game a try last week, her first several matches she had zero perks slotted because she never went to the Loadout side menu. She just queued and played.
And by the way, her second match as a killer, which was her second match ever in the game, she netted 19k BP. With no perks slotted.

@FireHazard Well, the latest 24 hour peak for Deathgarden is 159 players. To give a comparison, Friday the 13th on Steam peaked at 644 in the past 24 hours.
Even new modes aren't helping Deathgarden, I mean, why would Behavior try new modes over here, then, when churning out a paid DLC every three months, and soon a new paid Battlepass every 3 months in-between chapters, seems to be working for them.
Why pump real money back into the game for new game mode development and such, when they're probably working on their next success like Deathgarden was. ๐๐คฃ

They're most likely only doing it at Deathgarden at the moment because that game needs all the help it can get to stay afloat... DBD isn't really on a decline either at the moment, we're still far above what the charts at 2016 started off with...

What was the point of this post? I would hope that you guys all made it out versus a perkless wraith, lol. Most of you had spine chill and self heal as well, it was basically a free game. Nobody likes campers, but this guy is clearly new to the game.
This post if anything is showing how bad the matchmaking is. You're already prestiged and somehow still rank 15 and versing new players. Poor guys, wraith is terribly weak without addons or perks. I honestly don't blame him for face camping because most people he would be matched with probably will escape anyways. Perfect example is your post.

You know what sucks? That this new killer who is just trying to learn the ropes probably didn't learn anything from this match. Why not? Because the game doesn't really help new killers learn how to play. It didn't give him feedback on why he didn't get any kills.
Rank 18-20 killers should get matched with rank 18-20 survivors. Even that wouldn't be a perfect system, but it would give these poor players a better chance at learning the basics of the game with others who are also still trying to learn the basics of the game.

You realise they're rank 19 right? You can't depip that far, and at most a rank reset will take you from 15 down to 17.
You also blank out that you reported them (a pointless effort as it wouldn't be censored otherwise) when camping has been stated to NOT be a reportable offense, so you shouldn't be abusing the report function like this.
There is a button at the top to rate enjoyment, use that rather than attack a player who is new to the game.

If i blanked out the survivors you would probably have the same assumption. I didn't report him for being bad I gave him props. i'm not freaking toxic. So this is going to be my LAST comment. If you have ANY questions about my intentions READ my comments over and over again until you get the gist of what I was going for. It wasn't to attack, but to inform possible new players who might have joined the forums not to do this strat. (Because guess what if you face camped at high ranks you'd lose automatically.. as well...) Never ONCE did I bash this killer. The post title stated "Don't Camp after Rank Reset as the Wraith" because IT WON'T WORK. The only time it will work if you actually have perks. So please don't confuse my good intention with a bad one.

I have two clutch escapes:
One as Adept Ash: We all got downed because NOED Nurse + Grim Pantry. Fortunately, I was downed away from any hooks. Flip Flop saved me because I was able to wiggle free before she could put me on a hook, and I was able to book it to the open gate. I got the achievement for that. : D
Another was one where I was wearing the new Ace fighter pilot jacket. Another Nurse with NOED, but not as good as the last one. Everyone else escaped via hatch, but I couldn't find it, so I was forced to open the gate and leave. That nurse made me miss the Where Did They Go? achievement. They were a camping Nurse too, so I don't feel bad they couldn't hook me once.

The killer was face camping and managed to get more than 20k bloodpoints? How did he do that? You know face camping at the end game isn't the same as face camping at the very beginning of a match, right?
Also when a killer face camps it's very hard for survivors to earn points as well since there aren't many chases and one survivor would especially suffer if they were being face camped on a hook most of the match and yet all the survivors in your game made lots of blood points.
I don't know something tells me the killer wasn't really facecamping. At least not the whole game.
