What do you think about the planned baseline Shred pallet break?
At the bottom of the patch notes for 3.2.0, are ‘planned changes’ for update 3.2.1. I’ve cropped out the other two - one about Second Wind and another about Surge making score events - in favour of this one;
We are possibly getting baseline pallet breaks on Shred.
I want to know what the community’s thoughts are on it. Do you think this is a good or healthy change for the Demogorgon, or too much, and why?

I'm indifferent to the change i don't think he needs it but i also don't think it'd be awfully OP.
I think Monto's take on it is interesting. The only person i've seen not instantly jump to "this is a good idea". (He thinks it could "break" demo and not be fun to face as survivor)
I'm interested in seeing if he ends up right and this is a situation where we think we want it but it becomes an issue once we all get good with Demo.

It makes sense, it takes time to charge the attack and to jump the distance, then theres a small cooldown. It makes for some pretty interesting mind games with the demogorgon. Stop at a pallet, he charges his thing, give him the slip and be on your way without dropping it.
It makes sense for him to have this because pallet stunning him while in midair with that much force behind his lunge would be nonsense.

he has a longer recovery than Billy and Leatherface with the roar and does not one shot

I feel the Demogorgon is going to make survivors dc like old Legion did. Its already happening now and with this change it'll happen more. Dont have to @ me, this is a prediction. I had 3 2 man games facing him and some 3 man. People are dcing him already without this change.

Just you, i played over 30 games as Demo, only people DC when they drops to the ground. and that happen to any killers i play regardless
also its a free week, meaning people are more likely to DC since they will rage quit as its free for a limited time

Very cool buff, It might not be effective like the hillbilly's one, because you can still get "stunned" but it's gonna be useful in mindgames.

I think it makes sense
It's a nice little buff that will still not make too big of a difference, you break pallets a little faster but that's that in the end
What I'm curious about is the new add-on if they already changed it

already has good chase potential and better than most map control. his portals are whats weak, not his shred
edit: weak as in u should be able to replace them, not wait for them to be destroyed to place new ones

I think it’s really good and might make demo top tier. Other killers like billy and leatherface can already use their powers to break pallets quickly so I’m glad demo no longer needs a pink addon for it.

I love it. Ignore the salty DCers, they're just trying to get another Killer nerfed into the ground instead of adapting. Besides, Demogorgon just came out yesterday. Give everyone some time to get used to him before crying for nerfs.

Breaking pallet with Brutal Strength: 1.6 seconds.
Breaking Pallet with Demogorgon's Shred starting at charge up: 2.75 seconds.
Breaking pallet with Demogorgon's Shred already charged up: 2.25 seconds.
Breaking pallet With Demogorgon's Shred + Mew's Guts add-on: 2 seconds.
Breaking Pallet with Demogorgon's Shred + Mews Guts & Black Heart Add-on's: 1.75 seconds.
Watching Survivors crap their pants as you Shred through a pallet: Priceless.

It's going to be implemented as unlogical as the pallet behaviour with billy and leatherface. Both have a chainsaw that rips through wood but a pallet being dropped aborts the shred and make the wooden pallet immune to the steel sawtooth and stops the killer.

He may get a worthwhile ultra rare add-on cause all his add-ons are a bit underwhelming.

I don't think he'll be OP against good survivors, but I think it could make him seem oppressive to newer, less resource-efficient, or less map aware players. That being said, a less optimal survivor will likely be facing a less optimal killer, so it should balance out. He's going to require different looping tactics, not unlike Billy in a sense.
