After playing the new update for a few days now I've noticed that frame rates are...... getting worse?.... dropping more frequently? The frame rate whenever I open the mouth of the demogorgon drops to a freaking blur!! ... optimization has always been rough--> to be nice!. but this is proper bad.
When I first played the new update the game played good (about the same as always which is tolerable). As I continued playing though as the demogorgon I noticed the fps, lag spike etc..... are way worse.... this is on every map that I played on.... I played nothing but demogorgon yesterday for about 6 hours to see if I could notice if it happens on some and not all but it happens on every map... this is frustrating!....

5 - 30 FPS and having to use a controller for a game that’s meant for the pc. I don’t know how you guys do it.

Before the update it was always tolerable asides for nurse and doc...... I've never had a gaming pc so I'm used to it... if I wanted to be mean I'd mention how the graphics are etc... and really theres no reason for the fps and optimization to be in the condition that it's in...

It gets really bad. When I was reading about how it becomes unplayable I thought people were exaggerating. Unfortunately, they weren't. At least when it comes to Demogorgon.
Last game I played was as Demogorgon at the meat plant where the fps got worse as the match progressed. Frames are fine when standing still but as soon as I start doing anything... Afterwards, I asked one of the survivors if they experienced any framerate issues and they said not really.
I've noticed slightly worse fps with other killers too but nowhere near as bad as Demogorgon. Sucks, because I really want to play as it 😞.

Right?.... only time I've ever experienced anything like this is when I tried running PUBG on my grandmother's computer...

It's really not as rough as a lot of people think. If you're used to console play over PC, it's mostly fine. Once in a while a patch brings in extra frame drops, but it usually seems to get corrected pretty fast. I'm not sure if they're backend hotfixes or what, but it always bounces back to normal.
I run on the X1X if that makes a difference. Regular X1 or regular PS4 might be different.

Is it that bad? I haven't noticed it being anything unplayable on Xbox One X.

I’ve noticed the same thing. I think it has something to do with all the noises he constantly makes for no reason that makes you lose injured survivors or something to do with gown his body model interacts with the map. I typed a long rant a few days ago about how he is basically unplayable but it HAS improved a little bit since day of release, but very little. Glad I’m not the only one that noticed. And for me it’s JUST him, nurse is fine as far as I can tell.

All I’m saying is if OW can look as nice as it does and play seamlessly with 3 times as many people all performing more impressive actions and effects with no lag or frame rate issues dbd has no excuse

I haven't played as any other killer since the update, I'm trying to get the hang of the demogorgon.... maybe I'm going to have to wait for the hotfix.... but yeah everytime I open his mouth and look around everything gets terribly blurry.... I was chasing after an ace wearing the pink shirt and he becam a pink blotch on my screen....

My first thought is that his foot steps are causing issues. Another possible cause is its portals. More specifically, its Of The Abyss power when multiple portals have been placed.

I guess that’s possible, but it always seems to perform the worst in a chase, even if you havnt placed portals yet

Since the update, i've noticed weird delays/lag in killer powers. I've been playing mostly as plague, hag and nurse.

Yeah ive been noticing framerate issues too, its becoming unbearable.
i think its on specific maps though, because i was playing on Sheltered woods as demo yesterday and the game was running so smooth- but then i got the hawkins lab and the game was stuttering and freezing every second.
I think it has to do with his portal prompts, because i always seem to freeze when the prompts disappear/reappear to place.

I play at 15fps at all times on ps4, so I don't notice.

Huh, my game has been running really smooth. I havent been getting stuttering or lag, even with first swing of the game which normally lagged everybody. The only issue I've had is hit reg being a bit wonky.

i've noticed too, it's pissing me off, i buy a new killer and the fps drops even more.. seriously where are the promised 60 fps ?

I've been playing non stop since the psplus version. I had this back when it was released on PC played a bit with friends, but ended up migrating to ps4 due to bloodborne. Came back probably January of this year and play PS4 survivor and PC killer. With a little intermingling for both.

It's not just the Demogorgon. Even going from menu to menu is laggy among other things. Sometimes I have to close application because the searching for match menu locks up.

I wish they would address this, or even just let us know they are aware of these issues.
