bamboozle didnt need a buff

it already hard countered windows that offered counterplay to them. I dont see why i cant hear shack window being blocked when the killer vaults right after I did. why did u make a boring perk even more lame to face

Time to turn off the music and pay attention to the game.
21 -
it made no sound. none.
0 -
Good. Maybe it'll actually do what it's name suggests, instead of being a joke like the killer it belongs too.
29 -
It makes an 8 meter sound.
Down from 16 meters.
11 -
it allowed u to bot at any structure with a window instead of learning how to run it. it did more than enough.
3 -
I know. still didn't need a buff. still questioning why i couldn't hear it right outside of shack
1 -
Idk. Bugs are not the same thing as buffs tho.
0 -
well looks like you got...bamboozled. quit complaining not much killers run that perk
10 -
no
0 -
You can hear the clowns "cough" double the distance when he vaults than Bamboozle xD
2 -
You can still hear it from eight meters, it isn’t too major.
11 -
So Survivors might have to adapt to a changing situation instead of mindlessly running the most optimal routes? The horror!
20 -
It's not much of a buff and won't make much difference unless it's a long window loop in the buildings which is good.
The majority of jungle gyms you will still hear and see it anyway.
1 -
sorry but theres nothing optimal about an L T wall lol. the only time they get mindless is when the killer insists on running around the outside parts of both walls
1 -
When did this change happen? Today?
0 -
You're joking right? It's one of the most run perks.
2 -
Not really... I haven't seen it around much, but then that's my view on it. : P
1 -
I rarely see it tbh.
6 -
IDK outside of blocking bs windows it's a perk for bad killer players anyway so I don't think it'll matter that much
People won't suddenly start using the perk because of that
0 -
The buff doesn't do anything in most of the cases. The problem is that the sounds are bugged and you can't hear anything behind you ex:killer breaking pallets, bamboozle, generators, grunts, breathing, EVERYTHING.

Bamboozle is great for killers that need to maximize time, being able to stop the shack loop as a Ghostface and down the exposed survivor is huge
Likewise not having to deal with some of the annoying loops such as the Ironworks hole loop, haddonfield, and so forth
1 -
yeah this has to be it. several times last night i was in the same short wall jungle gym as the killer and didnt hear bamboozle go off
1 -
Yeah, the missing audio cues are pissing me off just as killer like as survivor. I also remembered that you don't hear notifications like hook rescues when they happen behind you.
0 -
I barely see people running Bamboozle.
1 -
No its not, I rarely ever see that perk
0 -
I don't see the need for this change, either. Bamboozle is supposed to shut down loops fast. I don't think it's necessary to surprise survivors with "hey, the window is closed now". Let them know that the window is closed and find another route to run.
1 -
Come on buddy, we all know how buggy the sound in dbd is.
0 -
I wonder why killers wouldnt be sympathic when survivors lose the ability to hear something...
Oh right, killer hearing being bugged or barely audible is accepted as "intended and balanced" . Cant wait for the next update to bug it and the fix lowering it again.
5 -
No, it stopped infinites and people that ran them
1 -
it stopped more than infinites. windows that u could actually work around as a killer are shut down because of it
0 -
Yeah how dare a perk have a positive effect on the game for the person running it!
2 -
Time to take off the training wheels. You're already playing the easier side.
1 -
Have you noticed this for both sides?? :O
0 -
I always thought bamboozle was the "training wheel". But mkay.
1 -
I can say the same bs for old mettle and release ds, but i won't because I'm not unreasonable. there's such thing as too much of a positive. it's a poorly designed perk for people who arent good enough to run basic structures
0 -
Bamboozle only created because they didn't want to touch map designs but then from a large outcry they finally closed certain windows in maps to make it not infinite. Therefore the perk became mostly obsolete. Now it's only a perk used in fun builds such as vault master wraith and such. If you consider this to be a training wheel, I seriously wonder what you think about most other perks.
2 -
Its probably another sound bug. Had that too, and Killer went right behind me through the window. No sound at all.
0 -
Yes, I first saw it when playing killer.

Where does it say it was buffed?
0 -
Bamboozle was buffed? It needed that buff.
0 -
The main usage of Bamboozle is to help shut down the safe window loops, that do not have any counter to them.

instead of this band aid perk being added, those problematic windows should've been addressed. it hurts all the other fair windows that shouldn't be able to blocked like that. it's the same thing with the last vault change. it happened because god windows were being fast vaulted from both sides, so instead of fixing those windows they changed vaults, hurting every other fair window in the process.

I agree. But for some reason it's not as easy as it seems or so. I don't know. I know we are getting map reworks, but it would have been nice if the devs would have at least already adressed those window loops. Some loops especially I feel like could be very easily fixed. Take wretched shop for example. All they need to do is remove the tiers around the side of the window vaults, maybe even just one of the window vaults. And those double windows wouldn't be a problem anymore.
But who knows. That's probably easier said than done.

what rank are you because like no.
0 -
You realize not everybody plays only one role...
0 -
It will only ever catch you off guard once even if you didn't hear it, so doesn't seem like a "end of the game" to me.
0 -
I love it when people call killer perks that counter what a survivor can do is referred to as a perk for "bad killer players".
0 -
I mean, what are you if you can't run basic tiles? Good?
0 -
Ye, shame you cant just loop endlessly around shack isnt it.
Thats called karma for being a prick.
