Why are Iridescent Hatchets a thing?
Seriously, these are absurd and not that uncommon. Just played against a Huntress with them and they have 7 more left.

Same with why Moris and other One shot kill add-ons exist.
For no reason.

Cuz the devs dun goofed.
Mclean said in his stream that Iri Heads would be gone soon.
Where's the damn nerf at, Mclean?
4 -
Because Moris aren't enough.

For the same reason BNPs and syringes are a thing. Both sides have some ultra-rare OP add-ons. The devs have been nerfing them one by one because people complained so much, but personally I think it's a shame and makes the game blander and less varied. The add-ons are ultra rare for a reason. They're supposed to be OP, but you're not supposed to come up against them in the majority of games. Perhaps, as you say, they ought to be a lot less common on the bloodwebs. But mechanically, I don't think there's really a problem with them.

I though they were gonna remove them with the changes to nurse.

brand new parts aren't even bad anymore

Games are very imbalanced because of ultra rare addons, and you come across moris far more often than you'd expect. Instaheals aren't all that uncommon either, but they're not really much of a comparison. You can't combine a very rare addon to med kits with an insta heal, or you're shooting yourself in the foot. Iridescent Hatchets' downside can be pretty much countered with a purple addon. Either way, game quality suffers because of this. Games are very one sided depending on who brought the bigger guns. Sure, you can win against them despite it, but if you're of equal skill and as optimal as possible, the one who has the advantage from the start is pretty much winning. Game Quality suffers tremendously because games aren't 50/50 from the start.

Why are instaheals a thing?

It throws the match off-balance, sure, but that's almost the point. In an asymmetrical PVP game, achieving absolute balance is impossible anyway, it's never going to be completely 50/50 from the start, so in my opinion things like OP add-ons that only come along once in a while throw a bit more spice into the mix. I say "once in a while" because that's the intention, although I'm fully aware that's not how it is in practice. As I said earlier, I definitely think their spawn rate should be greatly reduced, but I wouldn't advocate for removing them from the game altogether.

Yeah, but in a game where it's one team vs another(I call them both teams anyways in this instance), there should always be a 50/50 shot, or 50/50 should be the goal. Otherwise the win on one side feels cheap, and the feeling of "Oh yay, a depip game" is what you get from the other side. It should never feel like the game is so imbalanced that you feel like you have to either be so much more skilled than the other side that you'd crush them anyways, and that's what things like this do.
I don't mind addons in general, but I feel they'd serve a much better purpose being like Freddy's pallet addons, changing the power somewhat, rather than buffing you significantly. I feel like Freddy's addons in general are probably one of the more balanced out of any killer, but they're still very nice for Freddy. Although maybe his ultra rares are pretty powerful too, but they're nowhere near the level of Iridescent Heads.

So I can let off steam.
Also, just dodge them.

Huntress doesn't have any other ultra rares so they are very common in her bloodweb.
1 -
Why are instant full heals a thing. They are absurd and not that uncommon aswell. I've played against more than one team with at minimum to instant full heal runners.

I'm sure survivor players love dealing with your anger management issues.
Also, just see a therapist.
1 -
Better question, why not?
0 -
Why not give killers rifles?
Stupid question.
0 -
Cause not every killer is a god with them?
Seriously, this is a... Not very good question. Killers should be allowed to have powerful builds and should be allowed to use them every once in a while.
Also to say the Huntress had 7 more IH means nothing. I have like 20 something ebonies on my Trapper alone.
Because I P3ed him. And kept spending points on him. So of course I'll get more, and that's the same thing with the Huntress, especially since she only has one UR.
Also I can't even remember the last time I faced a Huntress, let alone one with Iridescent Hatchets.

Hillbilly already has a gun

I don't care whether or not Survivors like it, they don't have a choice.
Also, that's a little rude.

I have like 50 Ebony Mori on my Nurse.
Ultra Rare stuff stuff should be 50% more difficult to get in my opinion. :)
1 -
The perception of these devs of the term "uncommon" is somewhere between 80 and 95 % of all bloodwebs has them.
Playing nurse a bit recently I got 10 bloodwebs in a row with an ebony mori. 10/10. Uncommon, right ?
1 -
Nurse doesn't have ultra-rares, so she has only ebonies :(
The same for Billy and Bubba. They accumulate mories easily because they have no actual choice.

Sorry guys, they made the iri hatchets for me because I am lucky to hit 1 out of every 5 throws!!

What steam?
0 -
Oh yeah, and that's another reason why I'm excited for her rework because every mystery box is an Ebony Mori! :(
1 -
Maybe I just got obliterated by a SWF. Maybe I have something in my personal life. Maybe I just need a quick game.
0 -
@Masantonio I can relate somewhat to that.
1 -
Yep they are. Kinda amusing there gonna be removed soon. Curious to see how it goes from the strongest addon in the game to what level of trash appears.
0 -
IRI heads are a thing because UR addons ate sipposed to be rither really strong or game changers.
The whole less ammo / more damage risk/reward thing happens in quite a few fps games, no?
0 -
Why are keys, toolboxes, instaheals, current ds and adrenaline a thing?
0 -
Because the addon system as a whole is stupid to the core. First of all, they're not "Rare", you can stockpile a ton of top tier addons no problem. Second of all, just because you "Don't go up against it every game" does not make an overly powerful game addon any more justified balance-wise or enjoyable to go up against. Rarity does not justify the existence of balance-problematic elements.
It's like people telling you "Uh, you don't go up against 4 instaheals every game! " "You don't have to deal with 4man optimal swf every game!" "Nurse doesn't run multiblink every game!" Etc. It's not an argument.
Lots of things in this game just break balance, because this game is balanced like Mario Party, not a competitive game. It's only natural that once people start playing to win, the cracks (or fissures) in this games' balance start to show. Iridescent Heads are yet another symptom of the core problems this game has.

You say you don't care if the others in your game are enjoying themselves and you call me rude? That's rich.

I've been saying this forever remove syringes and ebony moris and all the stupid addons no one likes.

Syringes is the only stuff that make survivors play different. Only press M1 in all games and all survivors will uninstall this game.
