DbD Bullying with rank system bug
Putting 3 SWF rank 2s up against a rank 16 killer probably only playing because of the free weekend. It's like they are trying to either give DbD a bad reputation or drive away new players.
Bug or not that is unacceptable especially with how toxic red rank SWF teams can be. So this is more of a warning to anyone warning, if you see this bullying happening, report the higher rank players ONLY if they are actually being toxic.

It only took them months since this bug appeared to actually identify the issue. I think its just they got enough complaints that they couldn't ignore it anymore, especially with the free week.

I just played like 4 games against rank 9s and I'm a rank 18 killer like ######### i may as well of just dc and give them the win cause I stand no chance when their 3 of them every god damn game even if its swf it should NEVER be like that wether its a free weekend or not this kind of atuff is making me just want to quit complely and what I dont understand is the devs wanna punish players for doing yet they wont fix the ranking system id rather have them dc on me then be a low level killer and have survivors that are 10-12 ranks higher then me

@Zagrid I know last week or so Peanits said they made some adjustments. Which, at least for me on PC, got my matches back to normal unless they were an obvious SWF exploiting the fact that whoever creates the SWF is the defining rank for the killer in the match.
But once the DLC launched, I was back to pot-luck on matchmaking again.

Well ranks has a whole are kinda ######### up.
For example I'm a red rank on both sides but got sync down to 20 bc of the update. Clearly I do not have any problem to deal with killers at this rank and can even bully them.
They shouldn't sync down ranks so much imo. Maybe there would be less problems especially when the actual system ######### up.

I'm sure these people getting stomped into oblivion will purchase the game and all its DLC.

Why should we report them? It's not bannable and completely up to bhvr to fix that

They have known about the bug but didnt know what was broken it. That tweet just means they have managed to identify the actual issue that caused it 😉.

Idk how to be more specific...when your rank gets reset for updates or on the 13th of each months.

@TheUnendingNightmare That's what I thought. Typically people just say "I was reset back down to . . ." I wasn't sure if you meant that, or being synced with lowbies via matchmaker.
If you were Rank 1 reset to Rank 20, that was several months of not playing. So yeah, that'll happen. And it's stupid that a Rank 1 can get reset all the way to 20. There should be a limit, for example: A rank 1 can never go below Rank 10.

I wasn't 1 tbh but 4 and was sync to 13 bc I haven't played last month and the the dlc came out.
But yeah definetly agree this shouldn't happen. Although I am now sending messages to higher ups I see "remember at those ranks we have to help them not just juke and loop". XD

Like I hate seeing a rank 7 run to a rank 20 when being chased with bonds just so the killer switch target.
It makes me feel bad! We aren't suppose to be the monsters! XD

@TheUnendingNightmare I've hovered around Rank 12 or so before. I don't play much due to very limited gaming time, and will be away for months on top of that, so you can imagine how often I am reset back to gray ranks.
Anyway, I'm rank 19 right now due to that (just came back right before the reset). The other night, I was running a killer I don't usually play and only slotted the one Perk on him because I only had one slot open. He was level 1.
I had a Rank 10 and the other three were all Rank 18-20. The rank 10 was really annoying with t-bagging and his flashlight on every loop. I finally caught him for a hook. On the second down, I slugged him and made sure to keep the other three busy so they could not revive him. I made him bleed out. I focused on him because I could tell he knew what he was doing, and the other three weren't hitting skill checks on gens to save their lives.
The other three, I quickly realized, were brand new based on how they played, so I finally got them to understand and we farmed around a little bit. Then I let them complete gens and escape. They all ended up with 25k+ BP.
Anyway, can you image that Rank 10's reaction on the after-match board when he saw me as Rank 19 with 1-Perk and no add-ons. I wonder if he thought he just got schooled by a newbie? 😂

I feel you.
I was playing Freddy (rank 5-6) and was queued with all red ranks except one rank 17.
They immediatly started using their flashlight and pallet me everytime they could...and butt dancing.
Little did they know I was only letting them pallet me so I could fill the area (Myers map) with fake pallets. I then destroyed them bc it took them forever to realize every pallet in the zone was fake.
There was only me and the newbie now. He literally came to me nooding yes in front of a hook.
We eventually came into an understanding and we farmed till we were both maxed out and I opened the exit gate for him.
Like I'm not going to be mean to the only player who wasn't trying to piss me off and was actually pretty stealthy has I never actually saw him until the end of the game.

@TheUnendingNightmare Exactly. And you can tell when they're new because the tells are obvious.
But, oh my god, I wish I could have seen that match. I'm actually laughing just thinking about those Vets trying to bully you, and then wasting all the pallets and not realizing that they were doubly screwed due to no pallets plus your fake pallets.

I'm really glad this is being fixed. I'm a rank 14 killer who was trying demogorgon for the first time yesterday and I got matched with 3 red ranks and one rank 15. You can imagine how well it went :-(

When they said they made the adjustments, I noticed my lobbies took longer to start compared to the week prior. Wasn't a huge change; prior my survivor games would find a lobby in under 5 seconds. After the change it could take 10 seconds to a minute. With the minute being the extreme.
Unfortauntely, it didn't actually fix the issue I was still getting mismatched ranks at this time, and it only got worse after Stranger Things hit.

@TheUnendingNightmare I need to play Freddy more. Haven't messed around with him yet since the rework, and didn't play him much before then so he's only level 17.
I've just been working on getting all Pig's teachables unlocked, along with Discordance on Legion and Thrilling Tremors on Ghostface (since I finally bought him). I'm just going to wait for the shrine for PGTW, because I am not pumping all that BP into Clown to get him to Level 40.
I've been playing the guys I have BBQ tier 3 on, and Freddy doesn't have it at all, yet.

@Mochan Yeah, seems whatever adjustment they made wasn't consistent across players, and especially across platforms. I was getting correct matchmaking, and my killer queue dropped time, but my survivor queue time increased slightly.
Post new DLC, it's all bugged again. Hopefully a hotfix comes today. Otherwise, I'm just going to skip this weekend and maybe keep messing around in Overwatch even after I unlock the Brick Bastion event skin going on right now.

Yeah my main is Hag but second main was Freddy even pre rework and although tbh before oblivious he wasn't much stronger his gameplay has gotten better and much more rewarding!
That's cool! I also just unlocked Ghostface but I haven't played with him a lot yet, been working on the Plague since I'm behind dlc wise. XD

@TheUnendingNightmare I just bought Ghostface about an hour ago due to the sale. Not a fan of the character in general, because even though he isn't the Scream version, I never liked Scream to begin with.
But I like to keep my collection up to date. I don't watch Stranger Things, either, so haven't bought that one yet. I will probably around November, because I want to get other Perks unlocked before I worry about Demogorgon's.
And I haven't even touched Survivors yet. My highest is Claudette at Level 11.

You got that right :) and it's about time they did something to fix this issue. Cause I was at the point of either using mori every game or play different game until they fix it. Glad they are fixing it now:)

I got pretty much every perks I want on my Hag and Meg but tbh none of the others have great perks unlocked as I just did them for certain teachable perks. :P
I only recently starting to use exhaustion perks. I had a complet stealth build before, which was GREAT not being discovered until end game but sadly the game rewards more BP juking than mind tricking the killer and doing gens.
