That would mean not enough people think survivor is fun enough that they want to play.

currently queue times for both sides are very high.
the devs did confirm there is an issue with the matchmaking system, so i guess it has something to do with that.
it should get hotfixed soon

They did not. They only said they found the problem with the rank variation, not queue time!!

you're wrong. when i'm playing as survivor i get a lobby in 10 seconds.

Funny enough when I play killer I get instant queues. Survivor queues though are pretty bad. On Ps4 btw. :v

I play on PC and i was in red ranks last season and am at like rank 10 or something rn and i get perfectly fine Killer queue times. Usually its around 2-5 min which is def acceptable. It mostly depends on the time of day you are playing, in the evening and night its better than in the morning.

This is incorrect. Nobody on the PC is having survivor queue problems. At least, nobody has mentioned anything here or anywhere.
Survivors queue in seconds.
Killers measure their queue in minutes.
There are only a very few exceptions to this.
