For 5 days, I've encountered Demogorgon only once

I don't play Demo, all BP i spend for Nancy and I don't know how good he is. Is he really so bad?!

    No he's not that bad.

But you get better for free, and I feel most people have their mains that they already like, such as myself.

No point really other than for a variation in content for steamers and the like, unless you just really want the perks I guess, which are not to great.

Had fun messing around with him and some friends in the PTB, however not sure it's really worth tossing the cash, especially since it's licensed, therefore you cannot use shards.

At least, that's for me personally.

For me it's more the map I don't see.

I understand they dont want another fiasco like when they released Legion but...I was hoping to see it more often...

Demodoggo is fairly strong once you learn how to play him

I don't know why not many people play it

    Demo is fun

He's a very difficult killer to learn you have not one but two mechanics to learn and personally I feel they really messed with shred by adding in multiple range values and making it impossible to cancel into lunge

On-Top of that he's got a lot of downsides his height, numerous audio and visual cues. He's quite tricky to learn

I'd have put in the effort to learn him, but I happened to be learning Ghostface a similarly tough and difficult killer to play. I had already put millions of BP into him by the time ST released. So once I learned how much work I would need to put in to learn Demo, I kind of just said forget it and went back to playing someone I already had a grip on

I'll play him later when I get bored of Ghostface, at the moment nothing about his gameplay or add-ons really grab me

I’ve hardly seen any demogorgons either, is everyone thinking the same? That it’s just not worth the price point? Or that he’s not exciting enough to play?

I’m sad and confused, playing against the demogorgon is really fun and I wish I’d see more of them.

Imo he's just another throw in the mid tier pile aka non viable at high ranks.

Billy does almost everything he does but better.

He's fun, but even with his lunge he ends up being an M1 killer essentially with how easy his lunge is to dodge.

This is exactly the problem though. Demogorgan is fun to play against, but not so fun to play as.

As soon as he teleports survivors are on your portals because of the global sound cue, then you get into a chase, except you can hardly mind game because they can hear you step stomping around any walls, making it easy to maximize loops. His shred attack can cover ground, but doesn't instantly down survivors like a chainsaw, and has even less control, meaning the only time you'll ever get a hit is when the survivor has nowhere to go but in a straight line, which anyone whose played against a looper knows, is hardly ever the case. Playing as the demogorgan feels frustrating and unintuitive.

Of all the new killers I've seen released in the last 2 years, he's the one I've seen the least post DLC release by a long shot. I've faced him maybe 7-8 times in total over the last couple of days. I am really stunned considering the hype for the Stranger Things chapter.

Though saying that, the fact that the matchmaking is so broken right now, and I often get put in with rank 17-20 killers, that might account for some of Demo's absence as brand new players are not likely to have purchased him yet, and will be trying the free killers first. But I've seen more of Michael, Pig and Freddy in those ranks than of Demo and you need to pay for them, too.

What I noticed, you get more demogorgon in higher ranks.

At low ranks there's almost no Demogorgon. if you're playing in yellow ranks this sounds about right.

When I solo queue I'm purple and I get Demogorgon a lot. When I play with my friend who is yellow I end up with yellow killers mostly and haven;'t encountered Demogrogon at atall.

I disagree with this. He is actually a lot of fun to play as.

The problem is you need to set your portals in less obvious places not let everyone know where they are. He gets undetectable as soon as he ports so it isn't like they know exactly where you are coming from. His shred isn't meant to insta down... why would it?

My guess is many players like you decided to level the survivors for their perks first, since they're overall more fun imo. Lots of people probably don't have many perks/add-ons for Demo yet and won't play him until they do (myself included) because playing Killer without perks is asking to get stomped.

Hes not bad........... he may need a few tweaks to help him but I think it can be safe to say that after the hotfix we can wait to swe how the pallet breaking helps him.

The primary reason is that his DLC is the most expensive the game has ever had. Other issues such as the fact that everybody already has their main by now are secondary, but do contribute.

His portals are easily destroyed and his lunge is situational

Steep price for a character that isn't great, perks that are mostly laughable and characters many still don't really care about.

To clarify that last part what I mean is that these characters don't hold the same "oomph" as the classics do with popularity.

He's a good killer, but it seems the excitement over Demo has gone down. It's like Christmas when you open all your presents.

If he had better perks more killer mains would have bought the DLC. I feel survivors have a lot more to gain from this DLC.
