What happened to console optimization?
When the devs prioritized optimization for console back in the beginning of the year I was filled with joy! Fast forward to now and console frame rate hasn't been touched since the End Game Collapse update (I believe so). The frame rate now is still bad and I heard it's really bad on the new map. So what happened? Why hasn't there been a single optimization update since The End Game update? Or I'm I just dumb and there was optimization updates? 😅

Locker Dwight is no myth. Probably because Dwight is the default survivor and hiding in a locker seems like a good call to new survivors.
Console optimization is a myth however.
I haven't thought about that in a long time until a read your post. They really just let that one fade away didn't they?

They drew out a roadmap but it constantly gets extended for unknown/unsaid reasons

All I know is it's gotten better on PC. It's still not great but it's better.

They have been slowly doing it over the patchs. I used to not be able to play as clown or doctor or even nurse without it dropping to 12 FPS but now that drop doesnt happen (most of the time)

doc still breaks the frames on console it's a damn shame really

Remember the december 2018 optimization update that then became an optimization "pass" that has never actually happened 9/10 months later? 🤔

I had to restart my app it was so bad yesterday, I couldn’t tell if it was the frame drop or lag! Certain Killers power and perks also cause noticeable frame drops especially on certain maps.

From what I can see, they are trying (!) to reduce CPU usage because that's the most logical way. But from my understanding the whole process just came to a halt as moving over to dedicated servers brings more CPU relieve than complicated optimization.
GPU optimization on the other hand is a whole different caliber so I don't expect them to do very much in that area.
