Something has to be done to further the time spent in a game.
I'm sorry, but this game has gotten to the point where playing killer is irritating. You cannot manage how fast gen-rushing goes, you really cannot. At the end of the day, optimal survivors will get generators done without fail even if something is brought up out of the blue. A game can realistically be over in 2 minutes and 30 seconds... That's ridiculous!
Games should on average last a minimum of 6 minutes. Part of this problem is generators, but how many tools survivors have to elongate a chase. T walls, L walls, meat tree, main building, random windows, infinites that are made by exhaustion perks. Tell me: Why should a game involved around 1v4 play give an advantage to the side with an already existing advantage? It baffles me. Exhaustion perks can save survivors from a mistake and make them enlogate chases even more.
My point is, I don't care if it's giving the survivors a secondary objective, heavy nerfing the tools that survivors have at their disposal, or making gen times longer. The point is, it's now or never, BHVR. It has gotten to the point that the game directly gives an advantage to an already advantageous team, furthermore if they're optimal enough to do gens no matter the circumstance. This is from a survivor main struggling to perform in purple ranks as killer.

T and L walls really arnt a problem against a decent killer. By this, i'm not referring to the character, but rather the player. Meat tree actually use to be horrendously worse, but now if you loop it the correct way...survivors MIGHT get 2 loops out of it before throwing the pallet.

lol meat tree isn't that bad

That's not the point I'm trying to make: Not that they're bad per say, but that they all can spawn so close to each other that the issue in my mind is loop2loop, every time a pallet is broken.

How about the Matchmaking gets fixed so that all matches end up with mixed survivor teams where there are potato survivors and high rank survivors in each match.

The loop2loop issue your talking about is only an issue if you get tunnelvision on 1 survivor. If 1 guy uses up abunch of pallets, you can swap targets to one of his teammates who DOESNT know which areas are complete deadzones. If you try staying in the same chase however with a survivor who is bringing you from 1 point of the map to the next, pallet after pallet... Your gonna lose. Cut chase and go after someone who's gonna try using those areas next, after the pallets are broken.

It's already this way. Have you not seen the screen shots of rank 1-3 killers going versus straight potato teams? I get potatoes every time I'm in solo queue. All these kids know how to do is farm hooks.

There reworking maps so things like t walls L walls or meat tree wont exist anymore just gotta wait like 3 years for all the maps to get done

As someone else said in another thread, I think the main problem is a survivor’s ability and lack of fear in having extended chases. Safe paths for survivors + large map sizes are also not a fun combination for killers.
But I also think removing survivors ability to gen tap would do wonders for this issue too. Make them stay on a gen as long as a killer takes to break it before regression ceases.

The least that the devs could do is optimize the gens for higher rank.. Going down the ladder in ranking should also affect survivors and not only the killer who gets frustrated with optimal survivors.. The problem is the game is balanced when there are average players but not when there are optimal ones. Even a good killer can't do much.

Because every match lasts 2:30.
Thats what is ridiculous.
I see A LOT of people basing their statements based on how bad they did and yet so many of them have longer matches following that “short match”.
Not sure every match suffers because of gens getting done too quick, and if they are 99% of the time the killer has chosen to tunnel one survivor or not bother with the gens.

If you played as much as you complained here, maybe you wouldn’t have such a bad time.

Imagine complaining windows exist lol

How about GitGud? Youre only complaining about non-issues. How often do you see games ending under 3 minutes? Well if i would say, that only happens when there is a god nurse involved. Genrush isnt real. Its just your lack of skill. Even "bad" killers are able to deal enough pressure on ordinary survivors. there arent even a handful SWF-Squads which play optimal. Thats just your imagination.

Removing toolboxes would probably do the trick.

That's not fun at. Have you played with a potato survivor. They are useless!!! I played with one that didnt know how to work a gen without blowing the skill check. And died on 2nd hook cause they didnt struggle. ... so no thanks how bout we fix ranks so that everything on a fair playing field again.

I've only complained twice over a controversial topic around the community. Give me a break. I well enough can acknowledge that something has to be done to make the game more competitive in the least. Good joke though, need to admit the burn was good.
I guess you didn't read one of my replies that I directly said that it's ridiculous that they're too many close to each other. Not that they exist, but how close they can spawn to each other. I'm not referring to meat tree, T-Walls and L-walls.
If you couldn't guess already, I exaggerated games being 2m and 30 seconds long, but that it is a possibility, not that it inherently lasts that long. Yes, I might not be the greatest or near "good" at killer. No it isn't my imagination in higher ranks, you'd be boosted if you don't play optimally and tryhard in high ranks.
I never really came forward with the idea of Gen-rushing as the main issue, but that survivors can have many things so close to each other that it can be outrageous. Of course you should be on a survivor for no more than 25 seconds, but if you tunnel vision one or they waste pallets, a chase can last a while. My point is that they have too many tools at their disposal to be able to win a chase with ease.
Stop trying to act like it hasn't happened to you. These issues don't inherently mean I didn't do well, but the pace of the game just seems too advantageous for survivors. That's my point, it's not limiting me from playing well versus optimal survivors, it just baffles me that survivors have great authority over a game. Stop trying to insult someone's skill when it's obviously happened to everybody.
For the people misunderstanding, I'm not directing something directly to an issue, but the large margin of issues. Thinking that gen-rushing is really a big issue is silly, thinking if something else being a huge issue is silly also, they all make up a big margin of complaints and unfun experiences in-game.

I don't think you read what I wrote. I said mixed survivor teams, not straight potato teams.

Of course I've played with a potato survivor. I have matches with one all the time! I am a potato survivor!

You’re asking for 6 minute minimum games, when the average game length from ranks 10-1 is around 12 minutes already.

"A game can realistically be over in 2 minutes and 30 seconds."
What game are you playing where this happens consistently? This would require a perfect storm of optimal survivor play, careful pre-planning, and ideal circumstances all around. Multiple BNPs, survivors on four different generators as soon as the match starts, no Ruin and/or survivors who are highly effective at hitting great skill checks every single time, and a killer who is so ineffective that they cannot find a single one of these gens before they get popped.
If that's "realistic" for you when playing killer, I think you need practice or something.

Well im not a potato survivor, I am a rank 1 every month within the 1st week of rank reset. And I would love yo be with other ranks at least nothing above 10. So at that point rank 10 usually aren't full on potato.
