The Ruin exploiters are getting out of hand
Just played with 3 survivors which all knew of the exploit making Ruin useless.. This is very frustrating for the killer as gens went flying with Ruin being up all game LOL Pls fix ASAP

If it's an exploit then it's one that the devs don't care about since it's been in the game since Ruin's release and they haven't fixed it or made it punishable.
Gen tapping takes longer. It would be faster to power through the skill checks or just find Ruin.

Corrupt Intervention is a LOVELY perk but I don't like using one time use perks. Also Surge is perfect too.

I'd like to know what exploit OP is talking about as well. It can't be gen tapping, that's been a known counter for Ruin for ages.

We'd all like to know tbh, but I think if the OP actively told us how to replicate the exploit... he'd be jailed for it or something, because hes releasing information on how to exploit.
Now if the exploit was patched, than he could say it. So in the future maybe he'll reveal it, or the patch will just tell us.

I am genuinely curious as to what you could remotely be referring to. Ruin doesn't seem like an exploitable perk. The only thing I think you could remotely be referring to is that somehow, somebody learned how to not get skillchecks, but that's impossible, right?

What are effects of the exploit? This should be fine to say since you won't be telling how to do it.
Also, how can you know it's an exploit and not people hitting great skill checks

He doesn't need to tell us how to do the exploit. He just needs to tell us what the exploit is, so we can believe him.
If he wont' tell us what the exploit is then he's just blowing smoke and we can close this thread.

@FireHazard from what he is talking he doesnt know anything he only see survivors doing gens and hitting skillchecks xd maybe he just played vs ppl that can hit greats almost all the time xd and tbh when i dont have bad day you can call me (in this way) exploiter as well xd i hit great skillchecks more often than not xd
or maybe he is just mad because ruin didnt gave him free win?
let me ask you did those survivors claimed "we exploited ruin bug"? or just did gens through ruin? like more and more players these days xd , you dont have to tell us how to replicate that, just tell did those surv claimed "yes we exploited bug" or rather "yes we countered ruing through hitting greats/ tapping" xd those are oposite statements
edit: and if they didnt claimed that you wont tell me you sat and watched for 80sec surv doing gen to see if it will be good skillcheck xd (btw 1 time i did 1,5 gen solo before getting 1st ruin skillcheck)

Hey guys wondering what it is.... Just go look in the Bug Reports.
Usually you can go there and find out what has been reported.. Don't need to be harsh on the OP. They probably just hoping that fix will come down in the hotfix.

Wait that's an exploit? I do that all the time. When you do it no smoke appears when you miss the great skill check. I did it by accident but I always thought the gen still regressed.

If you release the m1 button after making a good skillcheck then you're wrong it still regress

It happens because I try to pause working while the ruin effect happens. That way you avoid triggering skillchecks while the gen can't be fixed. But if you time it right the smoke doesn't happen. But you still need to pause for a few seconds before you resume fixing.
Is this officially confirmed to be an exploit? Because frankly I've been doing it for a long time. When I don't feel like hunting for the totem and powering through the gen, I do this.

Exactly, I will not reveal it but it is something everyone could do given the information and just repairing the gen with no setup whatsoever (no perks / items required)
