Remove everything that is op in this game
Seriously, it need's to go. ALL of them (Not anymore. I changed my mind)
Key's, Ebony Mori's, Inta heals, One shot addon's, Spirit's no phase sound addon.
Can we agree?

Sounds like it would make the game a lot less fun
(This game is not supposed to be highly competitive)
7 -
You can it is called "uninstall". Problem solved. Good day.
14 -
Why so rude? I don't uninstall because you said. Good day
6 -
The problem is that everyone would have to agree with what is and isn't OP.
8 -
Rude? Your the rude one daily bashing the game. Grow up, you make one post after another complaining about something or another. Play the game or uninstall and wait for changes.
1 -
It's not that simple, those things are depth in the game since almost day one. A lot of stuff should follow these changed: the kill everybody achievement, the 4 survivor escape through hatch achievement, and so on.
1 -
I've already accepted the game as a casual party game that can't be taken seriously in any competitive stand point cause rng, offerings, items and perks and swf despite being the strongest thing in the game has no downside but all killers have a down side in one shape or another so thats just how it is...
3 -
Like what @Yung_Slug said you're going to have to find a general consensus on what is overpowered and good luck with that.
Got some people who consider Michael ultra rares to be op some people don't because it's balance by how how much time it takes to get the effects.
I've heard people call the Aura reading add-ons of stealth Killers overpowered.
Amanda's letter: probably the worst out of the three don't get me wrong I love the add-on but it has way more negatives and positives
All seeing : nothing much to say it's just a really great add-on
Scratched mirror: the best out of the three and definitely balanced with its downsides
All of these add-ons would be under contention for removal.
0 -
How do you know daily? Do you stalk me or what? You said I should uninstall the game because I said what I thinking.
If key's should remove than Ebony Mori's too. Come on you can't say those stuff aren't unfair sometimes
0 -
No we cannot. There is not really an unbiased consensus on what is OP and what isn't.
0 -
Hmm you're right. Would be difficult ๐ค But still. Wanting to remove something on one side isn't good too.
0 -
So instead of suggesting balance fixes, you just advocate to remove certain items/addons without argumentation as to why. OP is a matter to perspective. You don't even address that all of what you have listed has counter-play. Keys? Bring in Franklin's or kill off the survivor with the key. Ebony? Stealth away from the killer or loop them. If it's a nurse, tough luck, it'll probably be a hatch game, which means that you still have opportunity to victory, even if it's a good nurse. Insta heals are one time usage. If you can't hit that survivor again, then they're skillful, you are subject to human error or both, which is a matter of person, not addon. Insta down addons have drawbacks to balance them (Iridescent head has decreased hatchets + dodge them how you would do normal hatchets). Prayer beads? I think spinechill works against that.
How about perks with instadowns and instaheals? How about perks that allow you to mori or find the hatch? How about killers who have instadowns in their base kit?
1 -
I don't feel the need to beat the dead horse like you seem to be wanting to do. These problems have been addressed hundreds of times in the forums and here you are complaining again about it. So I'm going to assume this isn't about the game and you're just seeking attention just like your other posts.

Ranks, meta perks, SWF. This game is competitive. Nothing like F13.
0 -
I would say something... But... @Yung_Slug already stated what i would have.
0 -
God windows needs to go to or at least adjusted.
0 -
Yeah but not everyone is running every match spinechill and you as survivor can't tell in the lobby which killer you are facing. And Insta dawn abyilities have a counterplay but if you haven't spinechill on your load out and you are facing a spirit with prayers breads then yeah... Gen tapping so she can't grab you?
Infinitive tier 3 Myers with gravestone or a gravestone piece. However you can counter that.
Okay maybe everything is too much but if someone want's something deleted than please for both sides.
0 -
Hmm...I think you need this prescription from the Doctor.
Seriously though. Get over it.
1 -
NOO NOT THE DOC! DX
But seriously, one question. What to do against prayers breads? (serious question) Okay by tier 3 Myers you can be sneaky in the end and hope for the hatch, in other case... Good night^^'
0 -
The only thing you can do against prayer beads is use spine chill. That's it. I know it's frustrating but there's a lot of frustrating things in the game. Unfair pallets, unfair loops, unfair hits, unfair add ons. The list goes on and on. Just ######### on hook and move on to next game I guess. It's what I do when I'm against stuff I don't like.
2 -
######### is a bad word? just uh...let yourself die on hook. Hope that ain't censored.

Killing is op
1 -
If we remove everything that's op, won't new (or i guess old) things become op? We'll have to get rid of the whole game eventually with that mindset
2 -
Then remove survivors
1 -
Then killer's hunt killer's?๐ค๐
1 -
Cuz we all know the most OP of the aura reading addons is...VANITY MIRROR!!!
0 -
So items should be removed because they don't fit your perk choices? I run spine chill a lot of the time, which helps me greatly against spirits, pigs and gfs and tells me when the killer is going to my generator, so I know that I should hide or run away. So even if you have spinechill and it isn't a prayer beads spirit, it's still useful. If a killer does not bring ruin, does that mean toolboxes should be nerfed because simultaneously, they can pump out the generators very quickly? If spinechill was not a perk, then I would have agreed on prayer beads being at least nerfed or removed. However, your choice to run another perk does not mean it is out of your capability to run another, you don't need to be fixed around a certain perk build. I went from kindred, sb, resilience and self-care to lithe, bond, prove thyself and spinechill/adrenaline (Depending on which one I want to play). There are options to counter prayer beads, but you simply don't choose to do it.
I main Michael and I already find Infinite tier 3 quite the task with J memorials on since survivors know not to feed me if they know to look around. I think you need to stalk everyone to full if you're running tombstone infinite tier 3 Myers without addons that help you increase your stalk rate. However once they do reach that, they have probably wasted so much time stalking instead of injuring and hooking (Mikeys could still do that, but not as much). You have to see it from the other side and imagine how painful that stalk bar can be. In that time, just do the generators.

The problem is who decides what's OP and what's not?
This doesn't work as a blanket statement.
0 -
There's no clear consensus on what's OP. Someone that mains Spirit might find iron will and spine chill disproportionally strong, someone who mains Ghostface might find OoO even more annoying than most people, someone who uses Dead Hard might find exhaustion addons more oppressive than the guy that uses Sprint Burst instead and so on.
The "usual suspects" like ebony moris, instaheals, keys and certain killer addons is something more people might agree on, but even then not everyone will agree.
1 -
Not everyone's going to agree on what's OP.
Let's say right now all the perks, items, add-ons, and abilities can be placed on a pyramid, with the most powerful things at the top. Once the top of the pyramid is removed, then people will look at the next level on the pyramid, saying "Well, these are the strongest things in the game, so they're OP; they should be removed." And so on. It would never end.
1 -
How about we start with the pink ultra rare add-ons? I reckon all of those could go, as most of them are potentially game-breaking.
The problem then lies with deciding what purple very rare add-ons are OP. I'll voluteer a couple of suggestions to get us started: Spirit's Prayer Beads, Shape's Scratched Mirror and Survivors' Alex's Toolbox.
The rest of them, green, yellow and grey, can remain.
0 -
Why not flatten the whole pyramid? Everything perfectly balanced.
0 -
Not every pink add-on is game breaking. Also, don't touch my scratched mirror.
2 -
That's never gonna happen in an asymmetrical game. Even normal multiplayer games aren't like that. In pvp shooters, some weapons are stronger than others.
But when everything in the game is so different, there's no way to "balance" it. What would determine it being balanced? It's all subjective. There's no infallible measuring stick. You can't just put this stuff in the players' hands to determine if it's OP; you can give some players the strongest build imaginable and they'll still lose.
Not to mention, Behavior hasn't even been able to balance the damn sounds in the game, yet. I still can't hear anything over their music, and sounds should be a lot easier to balance than perks, add-ons, and abilities.
1 -
Every map: Rotten Fields with no structures or corn.
0 -
I mean even if you have perfectly balanced versions of the same overall potential power, one option will be the best. Like having a weapon in a shooter that shoots 1 shot/second that does 50 damage, vs one that does 2 shots/second at 25 damage each. Depending on stuff like map design, how fast players move, recoil, the overall pace of the game and how much health players have one might be considered vastly superior to the other even though "on paper" they do the same amount of damage per second.
And DBD is by no means balanced in such a way. That's a very "flat" approach to balancing, that many would consider a bit boring even before the best tool for that particular game is found. It has traits from both tier-based balancing and generalist/specialist balancing. Primer bulb is rarer than spark plug, so it's stronger. Sprint burst is reliable regardless of map and situation as long as you're not exhausted, Lithe has more requirements but offers more control over its activation in return (on top of synergizing with other vault-specialized perks).
And that's without even getting into how a perfectly balanced assymetrical game... well, if anyone knows how to pull that off they should start a game studio, because that would be a first ๐
1 -
The ranks are almost entirely based on grinding/how much you play, not to mention you will get q'ed with people way outside your rank range anyway. There is no yearly tournaments or anything like that.
Assuming Meta perks are just the best perks in the game, then yeah there's always gotta be a best at something but it's not like people are running the best perks every game because that would get boring real quick.
The game is just not meant to be taken competitively. The OP stuff in the game is there to have fun with not to cry about because it's unfair. Play League of Legends/Dota/Overwatch/CS:GO/Smash Bros/Pokemon/Sports Games etc if you want to take something competitive that actually does have a real competitive scene with tournaments and such. You're just going to be missing out on the fun and getting constantly angry if you take a game like DbD way more seriously then it's meant to be.
1 -
It's complicated.
Someone will say ,,green key is OP'' but someone will disagree...
What they should do? They should nerf Green Key? Or do nothing?
0 -
My point wasn't that it is E-sport lvl but that yes it is more competitive than games like: Friday the 13th, Don't even think, etc.
0 -
The kill everyone achievement isnt a achievement, Adepting a killer requires a merciless round, which you can obtain without killing everyone, you also camt obtain it if you kill everyone super early or get dc's right away.
0 -
You had to bring up one of my pet peeves. Idk why the devs insist on keeping that broken item in the game. ๐
0 -
Overpowered is subjective. Somebody could say Workshop Grease is overpowered and you couldn't contest because that's their opinion.
1 -
Whys green key op?
0 -
"Pink add-on" does not mean "too powerful add-on". For a lot of killers the yellow, green or purple add-ons are the best while the pink ones are only gimmicky. (And that does not mean that these add-ons should go.)
3 -
It's broken
0 -
How so?
0 -
Idk how I can clarify how utterly broken the green key is.
1 -
Wat? The achievement is called blood on your face. And to only way to do it without spending money is using an ebony.
0 -
OHH, I don't think blood on your face is a at once achievement, theres an acievement called blood on your hands or something like that which has you kill 25 survivors by your hand, It just wants you to mori people which are fairly easy to get.
0 -
Rancor is in the shrine.
Just need 4 DS survivors
