Rework for Vigil (Quentin’s useless perk)
I have been playing all survivors lately (for their achievements) but have noticed that Quentin’s perks seem weak and pretty much useless since there are better options and was thinking since apparently he was getting a face rework that maybe one of his worst or least used perks gets a rework as well. I would also like to note that slugging is a big issue and not the funnest to go against. Unbreakable is the only viable perk that counters slugging and would like to see new ones added. So back to my idea of a vigil rework I had and would like to hear the community’s opinions. I also have some killer ideas that I would like to share to counter looping and early hex cleanses. But for now I would like to share my Quentin vigil rework idea and give Quentin (least used survivor) some love <3
Vigil(rework)-You look over your friends even in dire situations. Once per match, after picking up a survivor from the dying state within the killers terror radius, for 15 seconds any damage that would put you or the rescued survivor into the dying state will instead apply the Deep Wound status effect. Both survivors then have 10/15/20 seconds to mend themselves If either you or the survivor take any damage while affected by Deep Wound or if the timer ends on you or the survivor are immediately put into the Dying State Once both you and the survivor are fully healed you will unlock the ability to see each other’s aura “I’m gonna be here when you wake up. You’re gonna make it.” - Quentin Smith
For those that forgot what the perk looked like

Vigil is an awesome perk if you’re a survivor who likes stacking exhaustion perks or has a high success rate of losing the killer in a chase. Eight seconds can make a difference in play making and if used with aura reading perks, can help teammates in similar situations. All depends on the play style of survivor. Give killers more tools to provide status effects and vigil may feel more viable to more people.

Does it not reduce a 40s exhausted timer to 32s ?
Not super strong but definetly not useless.

It’s decent but there’s better options
Self Care, inner strength, Bond, a Med-Kit with add one or even Second Wind

If Sloppy Butcher was a timed status effect, vigil would probably be good

@BabyCameron10, Everything seems like a normal perk description except for that one y'all sticking out near the end.
But I agree that this is a good idea.

Fixed it for you love <3 not the best but improved a bit

It din't need fixing!! It was great, I just thought it stood out a little bit and I imagined it when I read it as when my southern teacher goes, so y'all.
<3 thankyou for trying to make changes to your post even though its already really good!!

Good idea! I'd love to see this in the game

Nothing against this perk idea, but Vigil already has a useful effect.
If needed it would be better to simply make the effect stronger. And if a rework is needed it should still be an anti-status effect perk.

Let’s be honest though people only used this perk for the exhaustion effect and nothing else and besides most killer add ons effects stay permanently until hooked, so vigil is pretty much a dead or gone perk and besides I doubt the devs will bring back the idea of exhaustion going down while running the killer

The exhaustion recovery alone is justification for using the perk.

The numbers on the perk are too small for it to make a huge difference, and since you don't recover while running anymore, it's only really useful if you lose a Chase and get caught again between 32 and 40 seconds. 8 seconds isn't really that much for something that passively recharges

I know, but that justifies a numbers buff not a rework.

There reworking his ugly face first

Selfcare is way slower than digging through and using a green medkit besides it'sgreat for plundering builds and depending on the medkit you bring you can get more uses.

Him and Nea need plastic surgery like no tomorrow!

If I wanted to heal myself I'd use Inner Strength instead.
Pharmacy is a bad perk. As is everything else Quentin has.

It's actually bad for plundering builds. Plunder builds are best used for fishing keys and other more awesome stuff. Pharmacy nerfs your plunder by turning your 3 chances to get an awesome item into 2 chances.

Green medkits are not to be scoffed at. They have more charges than Ranger medkits, and heals other people faster than ranger medkits. You can even leave behind medkits for unfortunate survivors to not be so unfortunate and heal up.
In my opinion, it's a decent alternative to Self Care. You aren't required to pick up whatever is found. If you don't want it, drop it for someone else to use.
