Is the match making better now? Or it is still the same:(? What are your opinions? cause I haven't played yet.

As a Red Ranker myself yes... I haven't seen Rank 10s or below yet.
If I do, that's another issue to address. But the match making is finally shorter than 30 seconds, which is BIG for this game...

You can still see multiple ranks but it will be due to a swf with a lower rank member/s.

It is possible that it was a swf. I have played some today where it was just purple, red or a mixture of both. Then i got one game with two red and a green at the end they were a swf. Well, they acted like it. All the exact same perks except one.

@megaweenieman If it's a SWF, it makes sense as it takes the highest rank into consideration now.

I thought then the survivor would have to be rank 5 max then, as that’s my rank?

It's always a possibility, but to clarify or to actually get the answer. You would have to go out of your way to ask the people who played, are you a swf. PC would be easier to ask, but console to me would be extra work to find name and blah.

@megaweenieman I don't know what the matchmaking system considers as close enough but it makes sense for it to allow some deviation from the killer rank. E.g. between rank 3 and 7 for a rank 5 killer. If it was trying to match 5 for 5, the queue times would be worse.

Makes sense. I suppose you only notice how much of a difference there is between 5 and 3 when you’re trying to reach rank 1

@megaweenieman @Sheldor My post was in reply to the question whether matchmaking is better in the sense of "is it working as intended" and not "how should it be balanced". Considering that in the last week it was -supposed- to use the average rank in SWF for matchmaking but was instead matchmaking any SWF with rank 20 killers. Matchmaking should go off of devotion not rank, just so people with thousands of hours don't derank to roll stomp on noobs, or at least base it off of hours played as each role , this game is never gonna have a perfect ranking system with the way it's set up and how easy it is to achieve red ranks on both sides , there's almost no difference between red, purple and green ranks when it comes to skill only a few of the red ranks are even decent at the game , the main problem is 75 percent of the community are garbage at the game on both sides and that's why we see alot of the same old threads that even though there is an obvious counter they just don't like being outplayed and come here to vent about something ridiculous
