No motivation to prestige Survivors
People want to prestige Killers bcs they all have unique very powerful add-ons and unique moris animation, Survivors don’t have it.
There are no motivation to prestige Survivors, for doing that I will not get any worthy unique stuff, and bloody clothes, I personally dislike it and never use it. If I want find more Syringes and Styptics, I already have Ace III and Claudette III.
And grind.... Survivors grind system is completely terrible, they don’t have any unique abilities and even passive things. I have to spend a lot of BP only to be able to use perks which I have on previous my Survivor on other skin..

I prestige my survivors. I currently have five P3 survivors -- Feng, Kate, Claudette, David, Dwight. Next up is Steve.

10/10 agree; with cosmetics being a thing the bloody clothes usually arent worth it

I do it once i run out of items for that character but by the time that is the case ive already started leveling another character, :/ i do feel you though

I only P2'd Jake for the pants; to complete my Sheriff outfit.
Otherwise I agree

I don’t understand. IMHO bloody clothes don’t worth millions of Bloodpoints you waste for it. But it’s your choice, you may like these .

I have nothing better to do. I could start prestiging killers, but I'm a Survivor Main.

Plus you get long dodgers when you show up in your bloodies

Does prestige even have a large impact on which addons you get?
0 -
Not sure what you are saying. There is as much incentive to prestige Survivors as there is for Killers. If anything, there is even less incentive for Killers because you only see their weapon most of the time.

For each prestige, chances of getting things of higher rarity are increased by 0.01%

Skins. Don't. Worth. Millions. Of. Bliodpoints.

So if I enjoy a Survivor and I actively want to play them, since they're all just skins, I only get them their P1 but never go all the way to 3 since yes it is a waste of time. Survivors don't make as much points as Killers so it takes longer and I don't enjoy Survivor as much as I do Killer so getting more than 1 Prestige makes even less sense for me. One is enough for them.
Killer on the other hand I get them to P3 if I want to main them, it is a sign of respect and how much I love that Killer. Prestiging Killer is a lot more harmful than Prestiging Survivor since most Killers are perk and add-on dependent so that comes into play too when I want to Prestige them.

No impact whatsoever.
There are people who pay real money for skins.
All I'm doing is using excess game currency to get them. It's not like I have a use for Bloodpoints. You're still a baby in this game obviously so you won't understand until you've had a thousand or so hours under your belt.

Exactly. Which is the same way for both Killers and Survivors. At least you are seeing those skins as Survivors. Killers dont get more mori animations or special powers from prestiging. They get skins they cant even see, except for the weapon.
I am not saying prestiging shouldnt be more relevant. It definitely should. But you still should only prestige characters you play regularly. You play Ace and Claudette? Then there you go. You want to play more characters? Then prestige them. You want to prestige characters you barely play? Thats your choice as well, but dont complain about lack of BP when you need them for something else.

Prestige might as well not even exist. I don't know why it's in the game at all.

Clearly someone who doesn't play Killer. Prestiging on killer is even more worthless than prestiging on Survivor.
1) Killers don't even get to see their cosmetics in-game unless they're Mori'ing someone. Killer Cosmetics are for the pleasure of survivors.
2) There's a lot better cosmetics than bloody clothes for both (non-licensed) killers and survivors. At least in the pre-game lobby Survivors can see who is prestiged or who isn't even if they choose not to wear the prestige clothing. The only way killers can show off their prestige is if they wear it and survivors happen to notice the slightly bloodier clothing in the middle of a chase or while being face camped.
3) Lastly, you complain about the grind for survivors but it is much worst for killers. There is no reason to level more than 1 survivor beyond level 40 unless you just find a different cosmetic you really really want because different survivors are basically just different skins for the same character. Killers must continue to level multiple killers until they have the max tier of perks that they want to use for each killer they want to play.

If you don't think it's worth it, then don't do it.

I would absolutely never, ever prestige any character, killer or survivor, under the current system. The perk grind is already oppressive without that, and it's not worth some cosmetic stuff to push the reset button three times.
If everything except perks disappeared, and if there were some permanent BP multiplier for a prestiged character, I would absolutely consider it. As-is, it's a false choice that does nothing except waste substantial time and energy.

I prestiged my Jake a long time ago
So far none of the cosmetics in the store are better looking than his P3 clothes, to me at least
Is there a reason to prestige? No
But there also is no reason to get to rank 1 and people still do it

I prestiged Dwight because he's my main and the completionist in me wanted to do it for him. I prestiged Michael because he's my main as killer and I love his P3 look.
I have no desire to prestige any other characters.

Now you need to prestige the locker Dweet :3

Well, it's optional, if you don't want don't do that. Why someone even need all characters on p3? I upped most characters to lvl 40 and have p3 on Laurie cause I play with her the most. And it took less than a week of daily play to do that so...

I never cared about prestiging Killer’s as I myself cannot see them in game.
Survivors I loved prestiging. I just hit P3-50 with Nancy a couple days ago.

Not the Devs fault that you're not a completionist

Prestige is always optional. You don't have to do it, it just adds more grind.

it should be like a rebirth where you get a bloodpoint multiplier as well as have their main perks already upgraded by 1 tier. Survivors should get boosted stats for their perks when they reach prestige 3 that only that survivor can get that boost for, but its still teachable. you just cant get leader boosted to anyone else besides dwight.
example: Dwight
No prestige - Bond I, Prove Thyself I, Leader l. multiplier 0%x
Prestige 1 - Bond II, Prove Thyself II, Leader II. Multiplier 25%x
Prestige 2 - Bond III, Prove Thyself III, leader III. Multiplier 50%x
Prestige 3 - Bond IIII, Prove Thyself IIII, Leader IIII. Multiplier 100%x
Bond IIII - Now shows aura within 42 meters
Prove Thyself IIII - gives 125% bloodpoints for coop actions
Leader IIII - Now it gives a 30% boost to other things besides repair.
Good idea or no?
Edit: the boost is only for the difference in the numbers that change and not the actual perk itself.
Decisive IIII would last 70 seconds only on Laurie Strode

The only motivation to prestige killer is prestige 1 when you like the weapon cuz that is usually the only thing you can see in 1st person. But tbh, the only real motivation to prestige was in 2016 for 2 reasons:
- Legacy announcement
- Nearly no skins available
Nowadays it's just not worth. I only prestige during double bp events to max out my character very fast because I want to be "complete" but other than that nope, not gonna happen and not worth for new players.

I am so glad I never prestiged any character in 1700 hours. The grind is hard enough just trying to unlock all perks on each character. If I ever run out of things to spend BP on I would consider it but it seems unlikely.

Unlocking all Perks on each character... is far harder than prestiging. 😲

So you need to play a multiple hundreds if nor thousands of hours to get and advantage over others? Very TERRIBLE design in terms of balance. It should be easy to get all perks asap and not hard for newbies so veterans who already have more experience get boosted by better perks.
