Rewards for prestiging
(Side note: I posted this on feedback and suggestions as well as general discussions because I want to discuss to see if its a good idea or not fro reward prestige)
So there is no reward for prestige, which I find kinda dumb. You spend all these bloodpoints in a single survivor/killer for what? just bloody clothes. This for me doesn't feel sufficient enough. So here is a list of ideas that could possibly help.
- Add a multiplier when prestiging. It encourages to prestige so you can get more bloodpoints out. It also feels rewarding so you don't have to go through the process as slow.
- Upgrade the survivor/killer perks each prestige. No I don't mean change them. I mean when you prestige they go up a tier at the start (Will show example)
- Make boosted perks for only the perks on the survivor that you prestige. So prestiging a survivor/killer should give you boosted stats to the perk you started out with. (Also example)
Since I used Dwight as a previous example Ill choose Meg this time. This us when they are level 1 (Multiplier lasts until they prestige)
No Prestige - Sprint Burst I, Quick and Quiet I, Adrenaline I, Multiplier 0%x
Prestige 1 - Sprint Burst II, Quick and Quiet II, Adrenaline II, Multiplier 25%x
Prestige 2 - Sprint Burst III, Quick and Quiet III, Adrenaline III, Multiplier 50%x
Prestige 3 - Sprint Burst IIII, Quick and Quiet IIII, Adrenaline IIII, Multiplier 100%x
Tier 4 perks (Only apply to Meg Thomas)
Sprint Burst IIII - Only gives 30 seconds of exhaustion instead of 40
Quick and Quiet IIII - Happens every 15 seconds instead of 20
Adrenaline IIII - Only gives 30 seconds of exhaustion instead of 40
Somebody said about have exclusive perks to survivors, thats not what this is. it is only the perks survivor starts out with when prestige 3 they get a boost.

"IIII" haha

Prestige is just about that bloody cosmetics and "max out everything".
That's it. Other than that it's huge waste of time and bloodpoints.
Bloodpoints multiplayer is hell no from me, this would be "forcing" everyone to play few characters and prestige so much.

"just bloody clothes"
Yep, thats it. Also some BS about getting better nodes in bloodwebs.
Don't do it if you don't want to. The Devs didn't want the Prestige system to become mandatory so its limited to cosmetics.
Imagine having to balance the game on prestige vs non-prestige players.

IIII is a thing. Not just IV
I've seen clocks with IIII.
CoD Black Ops 4 also used it

I hardly see how gaining extra bp would force people to prestige. It's just an incentive... if you don't prestige you're not gaining less bp than you are now...

We would like to avoid adding bonuses to prestige. Prestige is meant to be an optional extra for people with a lot of time on their hands, not something you need to do if you want to stay competitive. If you have loads of time and want something else to do, prestige is there for you. If you don't have a much time to play but just want to get the perks, you can completely ignore it without falling behind.

I believe Tier 4 would be written as "IV". I don't think Tier 4 character-specific perks should exist anyway. What would Tier 4 BBQ or WGLF be? What about Third Seal or Aftercare? And Iron Will or Calm Spirit? Also, STBFL and Spirit Fury would be extremely strong. And every high-level Survivor would have to play the Survivors with meta perks.
Starting the Survivors out with higher-level starting perks would be a nice bonus, though. Perhaps P3 should also give them a random generic perk to start with.
Instead of a BP bonus, it would be nice for Prestiging to also break down any remaining items/add-ons/offerings you have and give you bloodpoints (not the same amount you spent on them, maybe like half).
Perhaps they could also increase the item rarity bonus. It's very underwhelming as it is, to the point where it's so hard to notice that I'm questioning whether it actually does anything at all.

I think of prestige as a rebirth, but without the effects

bbq and wglf is 125%. Third Seal could potentially give them oblivious. Aftercare would make altruistic actions faster by a bit. STBFL wouldnt remove 1 token if hitting obsession, instead you get 9 tokens instead of 8. Spirit Fury you only need to destroy 1 pallet, but once they know you have it they can throw down pallets before hand.

So you'd have to run David or Bubba if you want BP. Also, what about Iron Will and Calm Spirit? You didn't mention either of those.
0 -
You can use wglf or bbq on another person besides them it just wont have the 25% bonus. Calm Spirit will make your breathing sounds lower and iron will will reduce noises you make while injured
0 -
Iron Will III already reduces the noises by 100%.
Also, no one's gonna run WGLF without that extra 25%. Similar thing with BBQ, except it at least has an effect other than BP so it might see play with other killers. Still, anyone who wants the most BP will have to play Bubba.

no reduces any sounds you make not completely besides grunts, but things like footsteps and gen/chest noise.

Okay. I still don't agree with Survivors having exclusive perks. They're meant to be skins, and I don't want to stop playing Ace just because David gets more BP and has a better Dead Hard.
If Tier IV perks were ever added, they should not be survivor-specific. Perhaps the perk in your first slot could be boosted by a Tier when you are P3. That's the only way I could think of this working well.

I never said to add exclusives. I just said that somebody else said that and thats not what I said.

I really like the bloody splashes on prestiging, but I feel it's a bummer you can only wear blood on default outfits. Is it possible to add blood as a texture effect instead of actual outfits?
I mean if it's possible to apply these bloody splashes on all outfits like a switch: Blood Splashes [ON] [OFF]
?

It clearly says the Tier IV perks you listed "only apply to Meg Thomas", meaning they are exclusive perks.
Was your idea actually to let other survivors use those Tier IV perks? If so, buffing every perk by adding a Tier IV might cause some game balance issues.
0 -
i meant that the bonus of tier IIII is applied to meg. anybody else can use here perks minus tier IIII
0 -
Which means those tier IV effects are exclusive to Meg, correct? Again, I don't want to have to run a certain survivor for the perk effects I want. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.

You can still use tier 3 on other people, its just you need to play a certain survivor to get their tier 4 things
0 -
Which is exactly the problem.
