My Score Is Being Punished For Playing Smart
Played with Pig, 4 kills. I get no pip, and only 14,000 or so points. Why?
Knock Out + Deerstalker + Franklins Demise + Hex: Ruin. I drop someone, set the trap and have them waste time trying to look for the guy. Knocked this Feng down 3 times, never hooked, and eventually bled out and died. Same thing for another guy.
This is my ultimate "screw-up-every-plan-you-ever-had-of-escaping-build." No one did gen's cause they were a) looking for a dying body or b) looking for ruin or c) looking for the item they lost after I hit them or d) getting their trap off.
And of course, I get much less points for letting people bleed out all game (usually one or two), even though the build is specifically tailored to slug. Why do we get less points when someone bleeds out and dies? If I hook these people, IT'S ACTUALLY A POOR PLAY. The scoring system does not recognize specialty builds where we aren't constantly hooking people left and right. Being punished for playing smart is demoralizing.
If you dont believe me, try the build yourself, and see how little you get for it.

Explain that to the entity. You're just a killer in its realm and you gotta do its bidding, no? It wants those juicy survivors properly sacrificed ;)

I believe you.
Within the game, the lore is that the Entity needs the survivors to be hooked in order for it to be fed. If you're not hooking survivors, then you're not doing what the Entity wants, which means the Entity's going to reward you less. Hooking survivors is the killer's main goal, so that's what rewards the most points; it even says so on the loading screen.
You can play however you want, but the game rewards specific things. If you play in a way that goes against that, you can still have fun, but expect to be rewarded fewer points.

He's not wrong.

The main flaw with your playstyle or build is that it doesn't take into account the rules of the game.
You have to follow the rules.
The main objective isn't to kill, per se, but to sacrifice to the entity. Dying survivors who bleed out do not aware points for sacrifices, etc. This is more than likely the cause of your low points and emblems/pips.

Silly Amanda. The main flaw in your plan is that you're not following the rules.
You have to follow the rules.
The main objective is to sacrifice to the entity. I'm quite certain that's the cause of your lower points, lack of pips, and emblems issue. Do some studying on the emblem system and how points are awarded, what actions give the most points, and how to "play the game."
In the end, it's your style and you can play however you wish.
Make your choice.

I stopped caring about what the entity thinks, idc about pips.

I'd say neither of us is wrong.
It's unfortunate that the game doesn't reward playing smart, but it doesn't. The game was designed in such a way that playing "smart" usually isn't fun for the other side. It's not fun for killers when survivors go super-stealth and rush gens, so survivors don't get rewarded much for doing that. It's not fun for survivors when killers slug, camp, and tunnel, so killers don't get rewarded much for doing that.
A lot of the game's rewards are based on giving the other side a chance to have fun. It'd be better if the game were designed in such a way that smart gameplay is fun for the other side, but it's not, so the reward system is a band-aid fix that tries to force players to play a certain way without doing it organically in-game.
The reward system won't change unless the gameplay is dramatically changed, because the devs don't want to encourage smart gameplay: they want to encourage each side to play in a way that's fun for the other . It's common that the harder you stomp the other side, the less you're rewarded. So, players should feel free to play how they want and not feel demoralized when they get fewer points; just focus on having fun and understand that the reward system often has nothing to do with how smart you played.

It rewards playing the objective. There are no rewards for creativity in doing so. How would an automated system accomplish that?
It rewards playing the objective. It rewards those who follow the rules. It sometimes penalizes those who follow the rules, but that's life. With everything, there is a positive and a negative--a beginning and an end. These are the rules. You need to abide by these rules.

@Marcurie Well, at least he's playing her in-character. Amanda never followed the rules, that's what caused Kramer to get rid of her.
@StupidPallets I have all four of those perks on her. I have got to try that build at least once. 😈
