Pennywise does not care what you think. December won't be an original chapter. It has no map. You'll have to hope the March 2020 chapter is original. That was one is a full chapter with a map which increases the odds its an original chapter.

Pennywise is a big license he would come with a map if they were to release him properly. it is most likely a original chapter and if not, I'm not to upset for spending some money on it

I get the feeling they make a lot more money from the licensed chapters. I'm referring to the value per purchase, not the amount of sales. Although the number of sales is probably higher as well.
When it's licensed everyone has to spend money, whereas on originals a large portion of the playerbase is just going to use shards.
Just my guess anyway.

Pretty sure they're not making maps at the moment because they understand most maps need to be worked on. Seeing as how that's the case I'm positive it's gonna be an original killer. I'm ######### praying Pennywise is never added to the game....It's an eldritch god not a slasher killer.

I am getting tired of all the licensed killers/survivors. Please let the next be an original chapter.

As long as the killer is fun, has a unique feel and perks are good that’s pretty much all I care about.
The last two originals have been kinda meh, this coming from a Plague main.
The thing I like about licensed killers is some of them we will probably never see them in a game again.

i just want to see some original stories and characters again is all. I already knew Freddy's, Michael's, Amanda's. i want to see something new, see what they come up with. heck i got best of both worlds with ghostface. licensed mask, original story.

Not to toot my own horn or anything but to quote my reply on a Pennywise thread:
The devs have already expressed their desire to add him to the game. The last time they tried to get him (winter 2018) they were politely told "it wasn't the right time."
The new IT movie is currently in theaters. The home release date for the film is in December, the same month of the next chapter. The next chapter will come with no map. All original chapters have come with a full package (Killer, survivor, map). The Game Awards is in early December. At last years awards MCote announced dedicated servers were coming to the game. You can sure bet they'll have something big to announce this year.
To get Pennywise they'd have to go through Warner Brothers. They've already dealt with Warner Brothers to add Leatherface and Freddy. MCote and the DBD twitter account unfollowed and then followed Stephen King's twitter account after the release of the ST chapter. Which ensured many people would get a twitter notification about that. A DBD art director also posted a drawing of Pennywise on their twitter account.
As MCote said in the behind the scenes video for the ST chapter: "Nothing is too big for us now. Anything is possible. Who knows what's next?" Accept it. Pennywise is next. So prepare yourselves.
TL;DR: The next chpater is looking likely to be licensed and it will be an IT chapter.

im not saying they should stop. i havent said that once. what im saying is i want the next chapter to be something original. i didnt say every single chapter for the rest of this games history should only be original characters. also i dont know what you're saying with your last comment. the game hasnt been out for four years, and, yeah theyve been in the game for a while. what does that have to do with anything?

I like The Plagues backstory more than anything and I'm curious to see more of The Huntress's backstory in archives but you sir are lying you don't even care about this thread you just want a reaction

But you did get that. Year 3 was all original content with the exception of the mini Evil Dead DLC at the end. If a year of only original chapters is fine what's wrong with a year of only licensed chapters?
This community can be silly sometimes. Last year everyone was asking where's the horror icons? Now that were adding them again everyone's asking where's the original content? Make up your minds people!
Either way it's widely known licensed DLC sells more. For evidence not a single original chapter trailer has surpassed 1 million views on YouTube (only Doctor has come close) but 3 licensed chapters (Saw, Ghostface, and Stranger Things) have.

i didnt even join the game until AFTER clown came out. im fine if it is a year of just licensed stuff. im not saying its the worst thing ever to get licensed stuff, i just find myself liking the original characters more.
i didnt mean to offend or get on anyones nerves with what i said. i was just saying i agree with the OP. guess i shouldve just said "i agree"

That's fine if you prefer original chapters. It's just getting annoying seeing people complain about licensed chapters when their was an entire year-long gap between Pig and GF. The complainers got their original only year and yet still they complain.

i mean i got nothing to really complain about. Ghostface had an original story which is why i enjoy original chapters, and Demogorgon is a cool monster and i enjoy playing him and using Surge. im just stating that i want to see more original stuff... though now that i think about it, the archives are coming up so that should have plenty of story to look at. so, yeah, i got no reason to complain.

@Okapi Ty ❤, be achieved, I'm not sure what they'll do next or the last chapter on the road map, but my hopes are high, I only have one favorite killer in movie's out of all the slasher's and he might not even make the cut but I do like the content Behaviour provides, like if i don't like a skin, I want buy it, but I feel like its art when they create these chapter's there's so detail and meaning behind every character and I'm paying the artists for their work. It truly saddens me that people can't see that each licensed character is good for the game tall or short but it saddens me that that a few people have a bias opinion toward our most iconic character's but Hellraiser, Pennywise and most of all Jason get real if the Dev's ever did Jason people would literally stop playing whatever

I would prefer an unlicensed chapter because they tend to have more freedom with design and mechanics (and cosmetics).
Plus, the top-tier killers are all original (Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Hag/Huntress).

Freddy is top tier. He's at least at Hag/Huntress tier.
