Dying light is amazing now...
Becoming one of my favorite perks because I can really tell how effective it is! As long as you can apply some pressure and get some hooks it does slow the game down a lot I noticed. But...actually surprised I did not try it with Thana yet.

Thana and plague combo is so dirty like omfg

I've been finding some decent success combining it with Thanata as well.
Super nasty using the Dying Light/Thata on Plague or on Freddy with Swing Chains.

Works pretty well with Legion aswell ! Just love it.

I think it's very useful on Plague, but it's really not that good of a perk in general. Dying Light literally makes the obsession a "God" and it's only effective mid-late game, pretty much like the old DL.

I honestly think they should remove the part where it deactivates if your obsession dies as it isn't good enough to warrant that negative. It should just simply freeze where it's at and make you unable to get any more if they die.

I think it's weak. Until they get rid of that part: "While the obsession is Alive"... I still think it won't be as good as the older version.

It's pretty #########, doesn't affect 1/4, BUFFS 1/4, and takes forever to stack up small amounts. Not to mention the more you stack it, the less % of the team it affects.
It's only decent on Plague because the healing buff isn't useful when all your heals are done by fountains.

Or hook someone twice, and tunnel them as soon as they're off hook 2 to get DSed. They are now the obsession, you can now gain more stacks from the original obsession, and you have them one hook from death.

3% per stack is laughable.

Yeah ok buddy.

Dying light only good for Plague, Freddy and maybe Legion
Other killers are just useless for this perk maybe unless you combine Thana and Sloppy (And again you're using 2~3 just for "better "Dying Light)
Oh, and obsession ragequit (And his SWF friend who suicide after dc) is still a thing

They should make you just stop getting stacks if the obsession is killed like save the best for last... and I think it could go to 4% per stack and see how that is

You forgot the buff the obsession gets and the fact that the obsession isn't affected by Dying Light. God help you if the obsession has a Medkit or Botany, he's gonna heal the others survivors at the speed of the light, nullifying the Dying and Thanatophobia combo.

When you do that, you lose valuable time and potential stacks.

I agree they need to remove the obsession dying effect.
It means that the obsession becomes a low priority as you want to get your stacks up from the others but it also means that if your profession becomes too much of a nuisance you can get rid of them.
As it stands they have way too many bonuses for someone who is so safe.
The immunity to the slowdown
The removal of dying light if they die
Also aboost to healing others and unhooking
That's three benefits with absolutely no drawbacks

you're making this perk stronger than it is. Its not because u had some good matches it's all because of this perk. there are many potatoe teams around.
1 -
The perk is strong. It's important to remember that perks do not exist in a vacuum. They become strong because of synergies.
There are a lot of things in the game right now that synergize with Dying Light. It's a strong perk.
2 -
yes, make it like STBFL where you keep your stacks, but you cant get any more
3 -
I did a Myers run with all of his original perks after the update and now his perks all combine well.
I love 4k’s
