Is the amount of traps the Trapper has random?
So while I was getting the "Cripple Them All" achievement, I eventually started grabbing all of the traps on the map and putting them in one room, letting the survivors discover my magnificent collection, and usually, step in a few. However, I noticed that I wasn't getting the same amount of traps every game, even though I wasn't using any different add-ons. Does the Trapper not get the same amount of traps every game? Or was I missing a couple sometimes? I noticed the trap auras can be impossible to see sometimes, so maybe that was the reason.

Trapper has a total of 6 traps. He starts with 1, and there are 5 others around the maps.
Perhaps survivors sabo'd your traps. Or maybe you just didn't see the aura. They are very small and hard to see sometimes at a distance.

Definitely wasn't sabo, so I guess the auras were just jank as usual.

Probably. If it's near a gen I usually have a hard time seeing them myself.
Really they should be yellow or pink auras, just to make them easier to see.

Not only that, but sometimes they get completely blocked. I don't remember how it worked exactly, but in ironworks of misery I sometimes couldn't see the aura at all depending on whether the wall of the building, a tree, both, or neither were in the way. I can't recall which ones I could see the aura through but it didn't make much sense to me.

you can increase your amount of traps by using certain add ons (they stack btw):
- Trapper Sack: increases the amount of traps by 1 and allows you to start with 1 additional trap, aswell as carrying one extra.
- Trapper Bag: increases the amount of traps by 1 and allows you to start with 1 additional trap, aswell as carryig 2 extra.
- Stiched Bag: increases the amount of traps by 2 and allows you to start with 2 additional traps, aswell as carrying 2 extra.
so you have a minimum of 6 traps and a maximum of 9 traps, depending on the add ons of your choice.

You sure the add-ons increase overall trap count and don't just add the traps to your inventory? Seems like it might be a bit OP if the Trapper could have like 5 extra traps on the map.

they increase the overall trap count by adding additional ones to your inventory.
there are always 5 traps scattered around the map, though he has the ability to start with more, which increases the amount of traps in the trial.
sorry if i didnt make that clear.
by "increases the amout of traps by 2" i ment that there will be 2 additional traps in the match, which would be the ones he then starts with.
