Will the killer Adepts ever be changed back?
I think most of us agree getting the killer Adepts is often tedious, annoying, and frustrating. Why change something that was perfectly fine before?
Survivor is so much easier, just escape with those 3 perks, you don't need to double pip, so why is it a requirement for the killer? Please change it back to the previous requirement of only a 4k. Not too hard, not necessarily simple. I honestly don't even want to try to go for the killer Adepts because I'm afraid I'll get a 4k and then only pip once and not get the achievement. Despite the fact I had a good game and killed them all, my happiness will instantly disappear when I find out I didn't double pip.
Now I know this isn't impossible, I'm not saying it is. I'm saying, why change something that wasn't broken? If it is indeed the "merciless" factor, just change it to something else. Simple.
I would like to hear your guys thoughts. Do you agree? Disagree? This is a topic I know has been brought up more then once and most people seem to agree, yet the devs have ignored it.

I agree I feel like with some killers merciless is easy with adept the ones who make a lot of points with it and some killers aren’t so easy to double pip with

Agreed. It shouldn't be an insanely hard challenge. 4k is good as it is.

I had to derank to rank 15 to get all my adepts, because it took too long at red ranks. Yeah they should do something about it.

I believe Peanits has said that changing trophies or achievements on console is not something generally done or it's not easy to do. I may be wrong, though. Not sure about PC.

It's not 4k, it's merciless killer or whatever. They changed how the game determines what makes you a merciless killer.

I honestly don't care how hard it is to change it on console, I'd just like the 4k as the requirement, since that's way more consistent.

Agreed. A double pip also requires a good bit of luck. Wish it wasn't as difficult as it is.

While a 4K can be pretty easy with an Ebony, maybe just change it to 4 Sacrifices. Sure, a DC might ruin it then, but this happens with the current system anyway.
It just does not make sense that Ranking Up means that the Achievement is harder to get, because you need more points. It sure is harder anyway, because the Survivors are better at High Ranks, but this should be enough.

I wouldn't have a problem if it didn't used to be just a 4k, but they changed it and that's what bothers me. DCs also count towards the achievement, or at least they used to.

I know. But a 4K can be really easy with an Ebony. But trying to get a Merciless in Red Ranks is way too hard with some Killers, especially with people killing themlseves on Hook (or simply not being saved by their teammates), DCs and especially the Gatekeeper Emblem.
4 Sacrificies would still be some kind of a challenge, because it cannot be "shortend" by using an Ebony, but it will not be the case that only because of the Ranking System, the Achievement will be harder to get at Red Ranks than it would be at yellow Ranks for example.

I agree. The adepts shouldn't be damn near impossible for certain killers to get at certain ranks.

That should not be any explanation, and I am 100% sure it is not.
Lagswitchers are like 0,001% of all players (probably even less), so changing it for all the other players as well makes no sense.

But that isn't really worth the change in my opinion. Especially since it's impossible, or at least close to impossible on console to even do that. Seems silly to "punish" one side for something the others can't do. I don't know.

It was a still a 4k after the Emblems were released. You could still get the Adept if you got a 4k, even if you were a Ruthless Killer. The devs didn't change the Adept requirements from just a 4k to Merciless Killer until 2.6.0. The achievement descriptions were never changed though. They've always said the same thing.

I wonder why they put the change in. To better reflect the description I guess? Can't they just change the description to "ruthless"? Surly that can't be hard.

Technically they fixed it. Originally killing all four was a Merciless Victory regardless if by hook or mori. During the Victory Cube you could still get the adapt by Ruthless Victory as long as all four died. I believe starting with the Legion chapter it was again tied to the result Merciless. With the progressive pip system we have now, it becomes harder to achieve the higher your rank.
It comes down to the devs unwillingness to change achievement conditions. Like stated earlier, killing all four was Merciless. Killing all four was the underline standard. The achievements need to be reword to say kill all four survivors instead of Merciless Victory to represent the original standard.

You couldn't get the achievement if you exclusively used a mori back before emblems to 4k. At the very least you'd have to 2 hook survivors due to how the ranking system worked. Each survivor had 4 possible points you could take from them, sacrificing them would award you with all 4. Each hook counted as 1/4 of that. A mori counted as 1/4 or 2/4 so you couldn't double pip if you only 1-hooked everyone and morid.

Please read the above post, you could not get a merciless with a mori if you didn't at least 2 hook everyone with the old ranking system.

Nope, I've unlocked adapts with with Ruthless with at least three killers. HybridPanda even has his adapt shape video with ruthless.

I just hate how mindless the adept survivors are compared to the adept Killers
You could literally do absolutely nothing as a survivor and I mean nothing and just escape with hatch and get your achievement.
Whilst a killer can work their hardest get themselves a 4k and not get their adept achievement because they either snowballs too hard or to gens pops to quickly before they can snowball.

They are easy to get in the low ranks....
However... People have problems getting them in the red ranks.. When they play in the red ranks...
However...
They aren't broken... Since people who are having trouble getting them in the red ranks.. derank to get them in the lower rank?.. Cause they weren't good enough to get them in the red ranks.... What is the issue?
If they were meant to only be achievable by the best players.. Where they needed to be in the red rank aswell as double pip.. That would be the requirement.
However it isn't.
So what is the issue here?

I wouldn’t believe that malarkey about consoles being the reason for this nonsense. I’m on ps4 and I got all my trophy adepts with a good old fashioned 4K before they went and changed it to be impossible.
I think game companies like to use console as an excuse for unpopular elements in multiplayer.

I think it's just the pipping system that needs to change. The things you need to do to pip is are really stupid as killer. And it punishes certain killers very harshly too. If they would consider a change in that system it may not be necessary to change how you adept as killer since it wouldn't be as difficult to get a merciless.

It takes 4 iri to double pip at red. Good luck doing that with three perks and gens going as fast as they do.

If you are playing in the red ranks that is your choice to do them when in that rank. Otherwise wait for a rank reset or when you've gotten a lower rank.
The issue isn't the achv it is the rank you are choosing to get them at.
Why should they make it easier for a red rank killer to get them? The only way to fix it is to lower the requirement for a double pip.
Goto purple and green rank and all you need is 15 points... or goto yellow and you need 14 points.

It's not a matter of skill but if the survivors are 4heads or not. So we can agree, yes it's easier to do at lower ranks.
But not entirely up to the skill of survivors but the 2 pip threshold is lower.

I’ve gotten most of the adepts a year ago. The only ones that I’m missing are Legion, Ghostface, and Demogorgon.
It is pretty difficult to double pip in red ranks if you don’t have certain perks. I’ll be going for adepts next rank reset.
Getting a merciless is pretty stupid because some killers just don’t double pip easily. Plague and Billy come to mind. If you kill them all you should get the trophy honestly.

Adept Should be 4k using only the 3 base perks. All a survivor has to do is escape which they can do without doing anything.
