I think I'm going to be in a juking video
I knew what I was letting myself in for when 4 survivors entered the lobby at the same time, armed with toolboxes and flashlights: Two Davids and a Jake could predict every quick hit and every lunge. They would look at me the entire time, seemingly always knowing were the walls of the brand new Hawkins map were. I couldn't counter their jukes by waiting, feinting, walking backwards or strafing. No matter what I did they were unhittable. I could feel my stress levels raising with every miss.
Somehow the 4th "potato" survivor was rank 3 and the three master jukers were all rank 14-16. I checked one of their profiles and was presented with a link to their YouTube juking videos.
Any advise on hitting survivors that have juking montage videos on YouTube would be very much appreciated. Otherwise I am going to turn to the dark side: hang up my claws and become a survivor main.

You could accept some people are just better at the game than you are.

As soon as I saw your name, I knew to expect a git gud from you.

Yes because making a post on the forum is going to help you improve. Very sound logic 👍.
You know what those gamers are doing? They're playing the game.

I've been there. It happens a lot with Davids, I've noticed.
I don't have any answers but to hang back on the swing and try to get a sense for their movement pattern before committing. It's quite an annoying thing to face due to the killer's limited FoV.
I play a game or two on Bubba whenever I've gotten tired of dealing with jukes. Smart survivors run away, cocky ones wind up in the dirt while I do the squealing happy dance.

There's not a whole lot different you can do against "epic juke montage" guys. Not going for risky lunges can help, but the best thing to do in Hags case is to just make a bit more unpredictable line of defense with traps.

Strange response to someone asking for advice.

Hello
Easy answer. Watch the Video they made. Seeing this all from their perspective is the best you can get to learn from your mistakes.

Just learn the movement of survivors and your lunge ranges. There is not much we can tell you, you just have to learn the feeling of your lunge for your own. Just trial and error. I recommant to play a fast moventspeed killer because you get less punished if you miss a hit.

Equip Unrelenting, and make them scared.

Cut down on lunge attacks, they’re a lot easier to juke.

May I ask what Killer you were playing?

Use shadowborn for a few games against good jukers so you can see their position in a much better way.
Juking works because killers have a limited fov

are you on console?

Hey can I offer you a happiness boop to ease your frustration? 🐖
Honestly try to laugh about it please don't give up either yeah it's not great to feel outplayed then to feel like it will be on YouTube for all to see.
But you need to laugh it off I once had 4 Dwights all dressed the same make a mockary of me all game it was horrible I was so angry but then I just started laughing and relaxed and started having fun to.
I felt alot better when I started laughing at myself and them all being totally crazy good and doing the weirdest things.
I actually miss games like that now it was actually fun once I got past the omg rage aspect lol

Especially when the survivor in question are at rank 14-16. Deranking to get easy matches against more unskilled killers has nothing to do with accpeting someone is better than you.

I really hope they don't post it so I don't have to relive the trauma lol. Watching back the video is good advice. I really wish I had saved my own recording as it is on PS4. Watching it back without the pressure would probably be educational.

Yes survivors often forget that unrelenting is a thing as it is not very common at higher ranks. I equip my Spirit with unrelenting to help me with speculative swings at pallets. The last thing the survivors expect is a second swing immediately after the first one misses as they are used to a certain cooldown time.

Recording gameplay to check back later really shows you how much downtime you have, and how long you spend not progressing the match. Gotta work on making sure you apply pressure, and if people are juking you, get closer to them before you swing. If you can hit them with a tap of the attack button/key/click instead of going for a lunge, there's no room for error

Yes and JawsIsTheNextKiller is asking for advice for the game. No need to bash someone for trying to get better.
As for you @JawsIsTheNextKiller What xEa said is good advice. You could also record your own gameplay and watch it back to see in depth the mistakes you made during the game.

It seems that there's a bug (most likely introduced with the latest "hotfix") that screws with hitboxes (hurtboxes), and you can't hit anything (makes so that you can even walk through pallets). So, you might have experienced just that.
Also, if just one bad game makes your "stress levels raising with every miss" and in the end gets you to switch to survivors, then just do it.

Ammm pls link the youtube channel or steam links, I want to see if I know those survs. What killer were you playing?

@Speshul_Kitten - I was playing Trapper. I play everyone as I don't want any of my killers to feel sad that they are being left out.
@LordGlint - I am playing on PS4
@Darkskies - Thank you for the boop. Frame of mind is important. At one point I stopped chasing, took a deep breath, tried to regain my composure and commended myself for not leaving the game. Then I calmly changed targets and then carried on missing all my swings again lol.

Use save the best for last or unrelenting, these perks hard counter 360’s and jukes that involve putting something between you and the killer.

I can explain to you why it happens with Davids most of the time.
The player got banned and created a new account or just simply a new account to smurf on low ranks. The best way to gain bp is by taking David with WGLF so farming is less pain in the ass. That's why those Davids at low ranks are very strong.

I feel your pain. I play on console as well and tend to miss way too many attacks. The best advice I've gotten is to stay patient - hold your swing when they start to do their little 360/vault fake or whatever. When they do this they rely on you to swing in order to make some distance. What I try to do is punish this by not swinging for an attack and just follow them instead. Once the juke is over you'll find that they are still right there in front of you, not as squirly and ready for a quick tap on the back. :) hope this helps

why? he is just telling about an experience

i have been in a few juking videos, but i am the potato on the killers shoulder getting flash light saved lol i have two very good people i play with that can do this...i cant give much advice...as a killer its hard for me to get those jukers, and i try look up or down for flash lights lol i just try and go find another

Just patience. The closer you are to someone before attacking the better. If they aren't going to make the window/pallet anyway, you have nothing to lose. The second or so that you'll lose by running after them vs. lunging is nothing compared to the amount of time you'll lose by missing and having to catch back up.
As far as hitting quick attacks go, there's not much I can say to help you there. That's just down to practice.

Shadowborn helps with landing hits. Practice when to lunge and when to use short hits. Meanwhile use Unrelenting.

I don't know if you meant it to sound as unreasonable and outright rude but you did. I've seen you around and I didn't expect such language from you.
You attack the original posts ability rather than the point she is discussing. Be nice negative Nancy.

If they try to 360, do the respect tactic which is waiting for them to do their juke before you swing, hit after their done.
Learn the lunge and swing, sometimes you make mistake, stuff happens for better wording, use Unrelenting for the threat, any FOV increase may help with perks like Monitor and Abuse and Shadowborn.

Don’t listen to these people they just want to be annoying and start controversy. I play on console and juking is really hard to counter but the best thing to do is don’t lunge and just get really close when they turn copy the direction they are moving and attack. The way hit-boxes work you are probably going to get an easy hit.

how insightful, clearly it says a solution. If you're not gonna help, go away.
As for the main problem, just dodge those lobbies, I hate going against 4 man SWF lobbies because they always get a gen done no matter how short a chase is, they always have insta heals and flashlights too save teammates, they always body block no matter what. It's just a hassle I don't want too deal with.
2 -
I almost completely agree, except for Monitor & Abuse: This perk only increases your FOV when you are outside of a chase.

Do it.
