When will the game make it too where survivors WON'T spawn on totems?

TItle, feels like every game Ruin is broken within 10 seconds because a survivor spawned on it. Or, if spawns won't change, let us re activate a totem so it isn't a 3 perk game.

With totems that have stacking mechanics, just reset the stack once it's been reactivated. These are very simple and easy changes that should be in the game already, but aren't. I hate bringing Ruin or Devour, and it's broken before I can even get half way across the map.

When the devs decide to balance for red ranks and not green.

    Simple, don't run ruin

No. You pretty much need it on someone like Leatherface or Legion, who don't have any/enough map pressure too keep people off of gens. Ruin is needed too give yourself a strong start, but when it break in 10 seconds you pretty much loose the game.

My advice is to break the Ruin addiction and play matches with 4 perks all game. Sure the survivors can do gens faster but if your early game is strong you should be able to 4k with 1 or 2 gens left.

Toolboxes obviously exacerbate the issue. Remove ruin and toolboxes from the game.

On some killers, yes, I rarely every run Ruin on someone like Freddy, Spirit, or Nurse, but Ruin is needed on someone like Leatherface. He really has no pressure unless you put someone in the basement. And there is still the problem of running something like Devour or Lullaby. The problem still persists even if someone doesn't use ruin.

I never run Ruin and do just fine with Leatherface. I lose some games sure, but I am ok with this.

If they can finish the gens before I kill them all, good on them.

All hex perks are never an option for me as I will not stand for survivors having control of my loadout.

Hex perks are a gamble and sometimes it pays off for you giving you way more time in a match than a killer who does not run them.

On the other hand survivors can delete it quickly if they get lucky. Totem hiding spots have never been better but that only works on newbies. Also ruin has been used so much good survivors just burn through it anyway.

Give yourself the freedom of having 4 perks. Win or lose just have fun.

Well I waited 2 years for them to start pllacement improvements, so it might be a while.

The only gamble a hex perk has with it is if a survivor spawns on it or not. The core problem still exists though. Survivors should NOT be able too spawn on ruin or any other hex totem. It's just not fair. You are arguing "just dont use it" but then you say you want fun, Devour hope is a lot of fun for me, but if it's popped in 5 seconds then there is a core problem.

You take the risk so you have to be ready for the fails.

How many times has Ruin carried you?

Think back to those good times and know that at least 20% of your matches, you get extra time.

Otherwise try some other perks. You might surprise yourself. @BunnyTheHutt

You're literally ignoring my point entirely just too keep saying "don't use ruin, or any other hex perks." Why should I have too not use any perks because the game doesn't make it fair half the time? Hex perks should be a gamble, but they should still be fair and not have a survivor spawn on it.

I am not ignoring your post I just have no sympathy for ruin users pain. They cause plenty of suffering too.

Learn to kill them all at normal gen speed and you will be formidable. Whenever I face a killer who does not use ruin I immediately think to myself "this guy is confident" and my spidey senses start tingling.

And if you think I am a survivor main just look me up on Steam.

Yea you're still ignroing my point. You keep focusing on Ruin, but I'm talking about ALL HEX TOTEMS! A survivor should simply not be allowed too spawn on top of a hex totem, end of story. I don't care if it's Ruin or Third Seal, it simply isn't fair too loose a perk 5 seconds into the match because the game said "lol sucks too be you"

    @BunnyTheHutt

Your point is valid. I just focused on Ruin as it is the most commonly used.

All Hex perks are a gamble that sometimes pay off. They will never be guaranteed to last any amount of time.

This is why perks like Corrupt Intervention exist. You get a set amount of time that cannot be disabled by survivors. Hopefully they keep making perks like that.

Actually, I feel like this didn't happen often before the latest patch. After the latest patch, I spawn right next to totem so often that I actually feel bad for destroying ruin so early.

imagine using a perk that can get broken in 10sec 🙂
