Stuck at Level 15
I'm stuck at level 15 Survivor and level 14 Killer. No, this isn't a joke post. This is how bad I am. I'm partially colorblind and my visual acuity absolutely sucks. I'm like a T-rex (or at least its purported myth), if an object isn't moving, I can't see it. Plus, i'm on klonopin most of the time for my akathisia. Weee!
Who else sucks as much as I do? Why are you so bad? Why do you have such a problem, like me, of gettin' gud? Any advice for t-rex noobs on klonopin? If you make fun of me ill cry.

You could try Nvidia GeForce. I've heard their might be some stuff there to help make it easier for you to spot things? They might have a colorblind in there somewhere too.

The fact that you're playing both sides is a good start. That's usually my advice to all people at low ranks or who are just getting into the game. When you learn how each role thinks, you learn how to counter or predict what they'll do. Good for mind games
Other than that, I would say watch how different streamers play who are pretty good at the game and see some of the things they do or don't do. (I'm pretty boosted sometimes, but I typically hit rank 1 survivor every season that I have time to play and I've been as high as rank 6 killer. But there's much better streamers than me out there)
If you have a friend who is good at the game on one side or the other (or both) practice against them in Kill Your Friends and have them play serious. You'll probably get stomped at first but you learn best through experience.

I find most streamers obnoxious, arrogant braggarts.
For example, I have problems with my reaction time with loops and mind games. It has less to do with "thinking" than my neurobiology, for which I am taking medication that slow reaction time. That means I always have more success in playing stealthy Claudette. But that can only go so far.

It's not a problem to be stuck at rank 15.
Frankly I want to go back to rank 15, I look forward to season resets. I end up in Purple and red ranks after a few days of hard playing and frankly it's no fun being in the high ranks. I rather screw around in the lower ranks.
Just work on getting better at your rank. If you think the Survivor teammates you get at higher ranks are any better than the ones at lower rank, this isn't necessarily true. There are lots of potato survivors at higher ranks who just immerse all game or farm the heck out of you.
Killers are less likely to run into toxic SWF commando squads at Rank14 so it's actually a blessing to stay at that rank. Enjoy your time in the lower ranks higher ranks are not anything to aspire for.

I mean damn dude, we're not doctors. Not sure there's much we can do to help haha. If you have issues with neurobiology there's nothing I can do. Maybe turn your brightness up?
Also watch Ohmwrecker because he's not an arrogant braggart. He's actually kind of wholesome and adorkable.
Or watch my stream :P jkjk

For some the issue is framerates on their PC, or internet latency. Either way, not everyone can loop at a god level.
I also detest streamers, not only are many of them arrogant braggarts, almost all of them are bad role models and teach their fans how to be terrible human beings. And they push all sorts of rubbish propaganda; nothing gets people more emotionally involved than bi-partisan politics.
Most DBD streamers seem to actively push the Survivor vs. Killer narrative and this results in the uber toxic community we have.

Yep, Watch Monto. Seems fine most of the time...and then, becomes a right "braggart"
Plus his editing drives me nuts. Amazing how he always get's 4 kills isnt it. Or, his first go at Demogoron. He says, right, lets try again or something....Try again? Right, what are you hiding?

Are there graphic options for colorblind players?
Also, counter the clownopin with meth....just kidding...don't do meth...
Not the same as clownopin, but I sometimes(always) play drunk and I swear my reaction time is awesome times amazing to the power of flawless...
Not sure what I was trying to say, but Nancy's high waisted jeans are game breaking and they need to be nerfed back to the 80's...

Also, do you play using headphones? If I don't have my headphones on, I am deaf...

You sound really salty for some reason lol

Hey man, even the best of us was once the worst. When I first started playing my worst map was Lerys, and I got 4 man escape a lot.
Now Lerys is my best map, especially with Myers... You just got to improve, practice makes perfect. And hey, I hope they add a colorblind mode soon for people with that same issue, so others can enjoy the game as well with that limitation.
I heard Nividia Geforce has something that could help... maybe...

Id suggest giving Doc a shot. His power helps negate alot of stealth, making tracking aton easier. Think of Doc as tracking training wheels. When I first started, I had alot of trouble finding and keeping track of survivors, so I played alot of Doc until I got abit better at it.

Monto does have bad games as well, or games where Ppl DC or suicide on hook, ending the game too quick to bother putting in the video. Alot of times for these videos, he'll add a little snippet of the "failed" game.

Can confirm that Doc is tracking on easy mode.

Heh, ‘tis alright, my friend- I’ve got the reaction times of a T-Rex. So many times I am juked, easily distracted by the scenery =3

Along those lines, I would also suggest taking Freddy for a spin. If you're constantly placing traps everywhere, survivors step on them a lot, and give you a heads-up on their location. Whispers is also an awesome tracking tool. Plus, Freddy's teleport is a reasonably strong map coverage tool.

I don't know what it is about DBD streamers that brings out the most proud, invunerable-seeking demeanor that wishes to play off "everything is cool" yet still have the most "de facto" butthurt insensitivity to constructive criticism.
Truta1ent was cool, and then one day someone in his game was being obnoxious using his flashlight. Welp, truta13nt decided this was enough to repeatedly rip into the guy demeaning not his play style, but him as a person, saying, "you're life is so pathetic that you even have to do this ..." and "he's a failure in game and in real life", because absolutely serious. He talked like this for 15 minutes just constantly berating him as a person.
GrimmyBear is cool though. Ive mildly trolled his chat, but ive always been respectful. He's prolly my most favorite streamer cause he knows how to laugh at himself.

Honestly there are so many noobs at red ranks on ps4 at least and that’s why I usually don’t solo que, now that I have multiple swf. It takes a lot of time to get to red rank and rank does matter but don’t let it affect your view or how you play the game. Maybe try to find other people to play with so you can use communications like a pen party or discord to make playing survivor easier. For killer, try to have fun and I don’t know much about colorblind solutions but their may be something on your tv?

You can watch Ohmwrecker or Otzdarva, which are 2 very kind and wholesome streamers/youtubers. If you want more of a funny, yet toxic video you can watch No0b3 or Farmer John. Just overall good gameplay has to go to Monto, Tru3Talent, or Ussilys

I don’t know what some of those words are, but don’t feel too bad about yourself, because I thinks it’s better to be a higher rank. Although everyone camps and uses NOED and don’t want to go for hook rescues, it’s a lot less sweaty. The only thing that matters is if you’re having fun :). If you will only have fun by getting a higher rank, just find a playstyle that fits you, like a gen jockey, an altruistic/objective player, or just someone that likes to run around the killer over and over. Killer is another story, and I can’t give you much better advice than you know now because the highest I’ve been is a rank 12 killer. But whatever you choose to do, good luck and hope you have a great time :)
